Chapter 42: Home at last

  Fast forward 3 years: Liv is 3 years old and Adam is coming home today. We decided to hold the wedding til he got back. It's all planned and ready to go. We are going to the airport after i pick up Liv from daycare after work. She is going to be so happy. She tells me every day she misses daddy.

  "Momma I want deez ones." She says as picks out her clothes.
"Ok." I helped her put them on.
"Momma I miss daddy."
"Me too baby. Come on sarge is going to yell at me." She laughed.
"Ok." We walked into the kitchen. She sat down and I put an egg on her plate. She's my egg eater.
"Daddy gonna leave again?"
"I don't know. I hope not." I poked her nose and she smirked at me.
"Where ring?" She asked.
"I keep it on my necklace because I will lose it on my finger." I showed her.
"I love you." She said.
"I love you too, Liv."

  "You have a good day, I love you." I fixed her hair.
"Be safe."
"I will."
"Keep the peace." We said in unison. She ran off.
"Bye!"

  I walked into work.
"Morning Tess." Winnie got another job so Tess is her replacement.
"Morning Faye." I walked to the locker room.
"Someone is happy." Jules says.
"Adam is coming home today."
"How long has it been?"
"Forever."
"I don't know how you do it."
"I don't know either."
"Did she say it today?"
"Yeah but she doesn't know he's coming home today."
"She's going to light up."
"She is a daddy's girl." Jules smiled.
"Braden is a momma's boy but Sadie pretty equal." Braden is their boy, he is the cutest thing in the world.
"I sorry." I say. Braden always says that in the cutest voice.
"I sorry." She repeated. We laughed.
"Whoop whoop! Hot call." Jules and I loaded the cars. I put my headset in.
"Let's bring Faye home to Adam tonight." Sarge says.
"Let's do it." Eddie added.
"He's coming home?" Sam asked.
"Picking him up at the hanger at 8."
"Awe." Spike says.
"Congratulations Faye." Our other member, Drake said.
"Thanks." I got in a car with sarge.
"Does Liv know?" He asked.
"No." I shook my head.
"Oh! She's going to be so excited!" We laughed.
"What we got Tess?" Sam asks.
"Jewelry store Robbery got out of hand."
"Subject?"
"Kevin Taylor he's 36."
"Possibly going to propose." Jules says.
"Not anymore." Sam said. We arrive minutes later and get out.
"Let's keep the peace."
"Alright Spike with me."
"Get me eyes and ears." They walked into the trailer.
"Things are getting violent." Drake says.
"Sam Scorpio."
"Got it boss." He ran off.
"Ok he's definitely not getting engaged." Spike says.
"Drake talk him down. Enter with back with Eddie and Faye." We walked in.
"Hey Kevin." Drake said.
"What are you doing in here?!"
"I'm with the SRU my name is Drake Anderson. We want to help."
"No get out."
"Drake calm him down." Eddie and I stepped into front it cover Drake.
"Can you tell me why your doing this?"
"Money!"
"Couldn't you get a job?"
"I'm a injured veteran no one wants to hire me!"
"Thank you for your service. Could we let the store keeper go?"
"Easy Drake."
"No I'm gonna walk away and You are gonna leave!"
"Sam!" Sarge yelled.
"I don't have the solution."
"You know we can't do that." He shot the store keeper. Out of instinct I walked over to him.
"Don't touch him!"
"You shot his leg he's bleeding or and he needs medical attention.
"No one is leaving!"
"I'm licensed nurse can I look at the hole?"
"Fine!"
"Kevin why did you do that?" The hostage asked.
"Shut up Rick."
"Rick is this your friend?"
"I'm not apart of this man."
"Sarge he's bleeding bad he hit an artery."
"Drake get him out."
"Kevin you hit an artery he's bleeding out."
"I don't want to kill anyone man."
"Let's put the gun down." I watched as Rick body slammed Kevin to the ground. He shot his gun and hit me in the vest.
"Faye is down." Eddie says.
"Status Faye!" Sarge yells.
"Vest." I heard a sigh of relief.
"That was not the plan!" Drake yells at Rick.
"It hit her vest."
"She could have died. She has a little girl at home!"
"I'm sorry I'm sorry!" Eddies helped me up as Jules came in and apprehended the subject.
"You ok?"
"Little winded." He took off my vest.
"How many vests have you ruined?" He asked. I slightly laughed.
"Too many." A medic teams came in and got the store manager.
"There is a high chance he's not going it make it." Sam says.
"Tried for attempted murder?"
"Possible." Eddie says. We walked out.
"Damn it Faye!" Jules hugged me.
"I'm good."
"You are so brave." Spike says.
"Just keeping he peace." They laughed.
"Let's get that report done."

  Sarge closed the book.
"Good job today guys."
"Faye have Adam come by the office tomorrow." Eddie says.
"Will do." Ethan walked out the elevator holding Liv's hand.
"Mommy!" She ram into my arms.
"Hey sister." I kissed her cheek.
"Ms. Kara says you were sick." Ethan says.
"My little faker!" I tickled her.
"Tell him I said hi." Sam says.
"I will make sure."
"Who?" Ethan asks.
"No one." I picked Liv up.
"Ready?"
"Yeah." She said.
"You left Sawyers blanket at my house." I say.  Sawyer is Theresa and Ann's adopted son.
"I'll get it tomorrow after work."
"No get it now."
"Ugh, Ok."
"Bye Faye!"
"Bye guys!"

  I opened the door to the house and Liv ran to the bean bag.
"Where is it?"
"I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"Come here." I took him into the kitchen.
"I don't want Liv to know but Adam is coming home today."
"Are you serious?" The font door opened.
"Daddy!" Liv broke down in tears and so did I when I saw him.
"Come here." He held his arms open and Liv ran into them.
"I missed you!" She cried.
"I missed your too princess."
"Who gave you those funky socks?"
"G-ma." He put her on the ground. I ran into his arms.
"I missed you so much." I say as he squeezed me. He sighed in happiness.
"Me too babe." He kissed me and let go. Ethan hugged him.
"it has been too long you can't keep doing this." He says.
"I know. How was work?"
"Vested it."
"Let me see." I lifted up my shirt a bit.
"Faye that's bad."
"He had like a freaking desert eagle."
"Ah that's big." Ethan says.
"I know." Good thing is was on my hip.
"How was daycare princess?"
"She faked being sick." Ethan says.
"Again?"
"I think we have an actor on our hands." I say.
"Yeah no joke." He picked Liv up and vouched her in his hip.
"Do you really have Sawyers blanket?"
