Ethan (Adam) played with my hand.
"You ok?" He kissed my shoulder. I rolled over and faced him.
"I don't know if I want to go back to Trauma."
"What do you want to do?"
"I'm with the kids in Peds, but I'm with Christina and Bobbie in trauma."
"The kids like you."
"I know. But I am more experienced in trauma."
"I say we just run away together."
"Yeah, that would be nice In a fantasy." He laughed and kissed my nose.
"When are you going to let me meet your dad and siblings?"
"When it's right." I looked at the clock.
"I need to get up."
"Few more minutes." He says.
"Go home, don't you have class?"
"Oh shoot, yeah."
"Ethan! You are very lucky to get into that school you need to actually show up."
"I know I know." He kissed me before running out the door.
"Bye." I yelled.
"Bye." He came back in a kissed my nose.

I threw my hair in a messy bun and walked into the kitchen.
"Was Ethan here?" Jenn asks.
"Yeah. He has class." I made some breakfast.
"Ricky is really pissed at him." She says.
"Why? Because of his girlfriend?"
"No because he brought you lunch on Friday."
"Seriously? He can grow up." We laughed. There was a knock at the door. I opened it.
"Hello." I say.
"Ms. Dylan?"
"Who's asking?"
"Hi, I'm Jane Alverez, your social worker." She held out her hand.
"Jane?" No way.
"It's me." I hugged her.
"Oh my gosh I haven't seen you in forever!"
"Your are still beautiful, honey." Jenn came to the door.
"Hi." She says. I stopped hugging her.
"Jane, this is my roommate Jenn."
"Hi Jenn." They shook hands.
"Jane was my social worker when I was going for foster homes and finally getting adopted."
"Your the famous Jane?"
"I am."
"Your like her second mother. She loves you." Jenn says. I smiled.
"Of course I do." I say.
"I love you too."
"What are you doing here?" Jenn asked.
"Your birth mom." She says.
"What?"
"She wants to see you?"
"She didn't want to years ago when my parents were given that opportunity."
"She wanted to wait until you were older and when she heard about the accident she was heartbroken."
"What about Tuck?"
"Tuck lives with her."
"So they both want to see me?"
"They do."
"Oh my gosh." I covered my mouth to hide my excitement.
"Awe Faye! You get to meet your mom and brother!" Jenn Hugs me. We all hugged. This was a special time for that.

I got to work with a huge smile on my face.
"Wipe it off your friend coded last night." Brenda says.
"What? Ava?" Her discharge must have been rejected.
"Yeah." Brenda flipped through her charts.
"Is she ok?"
"She stopped breathing due to an allergic reaction to one of the medications I prescribed."
"But is she ok?"
"She's resting." My heart was full. She was my favorite patient, between you and me. I walked into Ava's room with a cup of water. I sat in her bed.
"Hey, you ok?" I asked stoking her head.
"I couldn't breathe." She says.
"You're ok now."
"That mean Doctor gave me the wrong medicine."
"She didn't know you were allergic. But I do agree, I think she's mean." She touched my arms.
"In my eyes, you're glowing today." Probably Ethan.
"I had very good news today."
"That's great. Can I have a Popsicle, it helps with the sore throat."
"Yeah." I got up and walked to the cafeteria.
"Sonia, could I get a Popsicle for a patient?"
"Yes nurse." She walked in the back and returned with a rainbow Popsicle.
"Thank you."
"De nada." I walked back up. Christina walked next to me.
"Take it." She says.
"The position?"
"Take it or someone else will."
"I haven't decided."
"I want you in my ER."
"Christina."
"Take it." She walked to Milo.
"Here you go." I have Ava her Popsicle.
"Where did your glow go?"
"My glow is deciding on something."
"On what?"
"Well there was a new position in the ER that my boss wants me to take."
"I think you choose what you think your career is. That's what my teacher says. Do what you think Is you."
"Thank you Ava."
"You're welcome." Her mom walked in.
"You think we can get her discharged today?"
"Let's keep an eyes on her. See what marshal says." She nodded and I walked out.
"Jason." Milo said.
"Right." I went to the elevator and up to his floor.

  "Have you decided?"
"I have."
"What will it be."
"I'll go to trauma."
"Alright." He smiled and wrote on his clipboard.
"You can go home. We have it covered over here." He told me.
"Have a nice night."
"I'll see you in trauma in Monday."
"Trauma. Monday." I walked out.

I pulled out my pony tail and walked out of the locker room. When I got home I fell asleep. I was so tired. Nursing isn't easy but I love it.

I felt fingers on my face. I opened my eyes to see Ethan.
"I'm tired." I pulled the covers up.
"How long have you been home?"
"Since 9." I closed my eyes again.
"It's 12." He says.
"Really?" I stretched.
"Yeah." I sat up.
"How was your day?" He spooned me. (It's Ethan)
"This morning my old social worker came over."
"What did she want?"
"My mom and brother want to meet me."
"Are you excited?"
"I'm nervous. I've never met her before. I was a surrogate baby."
"You don't need to be scared."
"I can't help it."
"I'm here babe." He tightened his grip on me.
"Good, cause I need you."
