MAGE —  17 YEARS OLD

OH MY GOD, I THINK I JUST GOT BUTTERFLIES ON MY STOMACH. Am I—Am I really hanging out with a dragon slayer?! The man who's known for his fame in the Weekly Sorcerer?! Oh, silly me, you might not know who I'm talking about.  His name is Natsu Dragneel, 18 years old, a fire dragon slayer, if I may, and studies at the Fairy Academy. Oh, I have been dreaming to be in here too! Well, I already am in this school, but knowing that it's my first day in this pretty extravagant school, there's just nothing to miss!

As I was just about done with having myself basking in the early 9AM sunlight, a figure propped up right beside me. I could already tell from the whiff of her perfume scent, and the wavy, platinum white hair that the Mirajane Strauss had just come right up to me to greet me on my first day. "Hello! You must be Lucy-chan, am I right?"

I just nodded, my insides screaming out of joy, and I could feel my eyes tearing up. I actually had to made sure I was doing none of this outside. Inside, not outside, Lucy!

"Well then," Mirajane chuckled at the lack of reply, "you already know who I am. Of course you see me in the Weekly Sorcerer! Mirajane Strauss." She outstretched her hand.  "Want to be friends?"

I was just...shocked! I can't believe she asked to be friends with me! Why me? I'm not fit for a girl like her! I mean—her power is that she could summon Satan's Soul, a really rare, and for crying out loud, a powerful type of element that I've even seen! Here, let's have a look at the description:

Name: Mirajane Strauss

Age: 17

Info: Could summon a rare power, Satan's Soul.

Would you look at that? That woman was literally about to become friends with me. Bow down, haters. Your girl, Lucy Heartfilia, has just earned her spot next to this powerful mage. The very thought made me bubble with excitement, as I shook her hand. My mouth was eager to slip out a friendly gesture to have lunch, yet I faltered.

"Wait...I have lunch with Lissana and Natsu."

Mirajane only stood there, eyes blinking in oblivion before she erupted into a even more uncontrollable giggle. "I wasn't asking you to have lunch with me, silly!" She pinched my cheek. "I was only asking you to be my friend. Besides," she crouched down, placing a hand over my ear to meet a whisper. "Lisanna's jealous of you."

What?! Was she crazy?! No, not Mirajane, Lissana! I couldn't believe her! The reaction I gave her was almost as priceless, as she dared whispered to my ear again.

"Lisanna, my sister, is the girlfriend of Natsu, the man you just spoke up. You've heard of him, right? Since you came, she saw Natsu walking towards you, and she...she started to get a little jealous." Before I could interject, she raised a finger as if to silence me. "But! It's not really jealousy. Perhaps it's just out of a small pang of envy that he's been eyeing you since, well, 7AM."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The sister and the girlfriend? I didn't know those things.

"I know your heart just exploded, But I was just telling you some of the details of my sister. She really wants to be with Natsu." Mirajane stood from her position, crossing her arms and giving her shoulders several taps. "Ever since they were in grade school."

I gasped and fell to the floor—well, more like the chair, and gaped at this new found information.

"Y-You aren't serious, are you?"

She nodded, a small, sympathetic smile gracing her feature. Ever so slow, my heart was beginning to pant with fear, and I felt my stomach quench with unease and doubt. I was about to laugh hard, but then it accidentally sprouted into those uncontrollable fits of giggles, ones like Mirajane. I slapped a hand over my mouth and stared up at the sister of the jealous woman, worried that she'd might frown, but then Mirajane also laughed to her own dismay. After her laughs began, it was hard for me to stop laughing too. It was just silly, stupid, and absurd, this jealousy. Sooner or later, we began to talk more about Lisanna's likes and dislikes, and all of these were worn with a bright smile on my features.

Wow, we really were having the greatest time of our lives.
