I walk on stage trying to look as confident as I felt.
"Hello, how are you?" Dad asks.
"I'm good thanks. How are you?" I ask he chuckles
" I'm good. Now what are you going to sing for us?"
"I'll be singing Call Your Girlfriend."
'Call your girlfriend
It's time you had the talk
Give your reasons
Say it's not her fault
But you just met somebody new
'Tell her not to get obsessed, second-guessing everything you said and done
And then when she gets upset tell her how you never meant to hurt no one
'Then you tell her that the only way her heart will mend is when she learns to love again
And it won't make sense right now but you're still her friend
And then you let her down easy
'Call your girlfriend
It's time you had the talk
Give your reasons
Say it's not her fault
But you just met somebody new
'Don't you tell her how I give you something that you never even knew you missed
Don't you even try and explain how it's so different when we kiss
'You just tell her that the only way her heart will mend is when she learns to love again
And it won't make sense right now but you're still her friend
And then you let her down easy
'Call your girlfriend
It's time you had the talk
Give your reasons
Say it's not her fault
But you just met somebody new
And now it's gonna be me and you
'And you tell her that the only way her heart will mend is when she learns to love again
And it won't make sense right now but you're still her friend
And then you let her down easy
'Call your girlfriend (call your girlfriend)
It's time you had the talk
Give your reasons
Say it's not her fault
'Call your girlfriend
It's time you had the talk
Give your reasons
Say it's not her fault
But you just met somebody new. "
The whole audience is standing applauding, even all the judges. I grin slightly, pulling my hoodie down, letting the audience see me. Some people gasp, others clap harder. I look at my father, who looks shell shocked.
"Jayla? Why didn't you tell me you were auditioning?" Dad asks sitting down.
"It was a surprise." I say. I felt my heart beating fast in my chest.
"Simon do you know this girl?" Louis Walsh asks.
"This is my daughter, Jayla."
"Simon, yes or no?" Louis asks my dad. My heart beats faster.
"Its defiantly a yes from me." Dad says giving me a wink. I feel myself relax slightly. A smile found its way on my face. I turn to the next judge.
"You've got a yes from me." Louis said with a warm smile.
"Also from me , I think you can win this." Nicole replied.
''Thank you. I wont disappoint." I looked at my dad one last time before walking off stage.
The next chapter is going to be good, I promise :)
