Shopping for Maternity Clothes

It was the last day of the tour and it was ending where it began, in London at the O2 Arena. The boys had a jam packed schedule filled with interviews, meet and greets, and rehearsals. You knew that you wouldn't get much time with Niall if you stayed at the arena so you decided to go out with the girls for a little bit of shopping.

You were walking down the streets of London with Lottie, Lou, Denise, and Johannah. Johannah also had the twins with her and Theo was walking next to Denise as he held her hand.

You had put on about 15 pounds since you became pregnant and you were only at 14 weeks. You were scared to think about how much you would weigh when you delivered the babies. Because you had put a little bit of weight, most of your clothes didn't fit. So you were wearing a pair of yoga pants because they were the only pants you owned that fit your bump. You had a plain white t-shirt on top with one of Niall's sweatshirts pulled on over it.

"Y/n, I love you honey, but we need to get you some maternity clothes. You've been wearing Niall's clothes now for two weeks. I want to see that cute little bump!" Lou said.

"I know, but his clothes are comfortable. And they fit me without me having to worry about looking fat." You said the last part quietly.

"Y/n, you are not fat, sweetheart! You look absolutely stunning for being pregnant with twins. I didn't look half as good as you do when I was pregnant with these two." Johannah said as she motioned to the twins.

"I just haven't been feeling very confident lately. I know it's because of the babies and that it's healthy to gain weight during pregnancy but it's hard to look in the mirror and see the extra weight." You said.

"Let's find you some good maternity clothes, then you can feel beautiful and not have to wear Niall's clothes all the time. It's amazing what cute maternity clothes will do for your confidence!" Johannah said as she pulled you into a small little store that sold maternity clothes and other items for expecting mom. "I shopped here when I was pregnant and found so many cute things, and they are pretty reasonably priced."

"Okay so we basically have to get you an entirely new wardrobe because from here on out none of your clothes will fit you until at least six weeks after your prengnacy." Lou said.

"Really?" You asked looking at her.

"Yes the bigger your bump gets the tighter your clothes will be. And it usually takes a while for the baby weight to go away even after you have the baby. When I had Lux I still weighed about 10 pounds more than I did before I got pregnant. It took me a couple of months to get back to my normal size." She said.

"Y/n, don't worry about the number on the scale. Remember that those two babies mean more than any number on the scale. And Niall is going to love you no matter what. He's not going to care if you put on a few extra pounds. You will always be the light of his life." Denise said.

"I know, I just feel like there is so much pressure on me to look perfect because I'm Niall's wife. I see all these celebrity moms that have kids and look perfect. Or celebrities who are perfect and just glow. I know I'm in the spotlight because of him and I don't want to give him a bad name. I'm just afraid that the media will tear me apart if I'm fat after I deliver." You said.

"Y/n, listen to me. Those magazines and paparazzi don't matter. They are just trying to make money. What matters is that you have two beautiful little lives growing inside of you. What matters is starting a family with Niall and becoming a mother. There is nothing like the feeling of seeing your babies for the first time. I promise you once you see them and get to hold them, you won't be worried about how much you weigh or what you look like." Johannah said.
