SEOKJIN: did you bring taehyung with you?

namjoon leans against the post of the door, and thinks for a moment.

NAMJOON: i haven't seen him since... since the funeral, actually.

SEOKJIN: oh. okay.

namjoon can't bear to see the pain in his best friend's face; he decides to reassure him.

NAMJOON: it's okay, he's probably just at home.

seokjin looks up.

SEOKJIN: he went back home? back to the drunkard?!

namjoon kicks the back of his leg.

NAMJOON: no, that's not itー he might be with jeongguk.

SEOKJIN: i doubt it. he's been ill recently, so taehyung wouldn't go there.

NAMJOON: he mightー he might beー

namjoon sighs.

NAMJOON: i don't know where he is, hyung.

SEOKJIN: it's okay, joonie... i wouldn't expect you to know anyway.

namjoon's heart drops at that. didn't seokjin believe in him at all?

seokjin turns and sees the sadness in namjoon's face and panics.

SEOKJIN: no– namjoon, i didn't mean–

seokjin watches as namjoon brushes past him and goes straight to the fridge.

SEOKJIN: namjoon...

namjoon ignores him.

SEOKJIN: namjoon! i said stop!ー

namjoon swings his arm at him, the cold beer bottle stinging his fingers.

NAMJOON: i don't care what you think, seokjin! not anymore!

SEOKJIN: namjoon, it's been a bad day at workー

NAMJOON: fuck you!

SEOKJIN: ...you need some sleepー

NAMJOON: fuck you, kim seokjin!

he opens the bottle and downs half the bottle in one go, heaves, and downs the rest. he then throws the empty bottle at seokjin and opens the fridge for another beer.

seokjin successfully dodges the bottle; and it makes namjoon even more frustrated. why wasn't he taken seriously? why is he always the drunk who had no rationale?

namjoon runs to his room and slams the door, then sinks into his bed, sobbing relentlessly. seokjin comes into the room and shakes his shoulder but namjoon refuses to comply. he was sinking into a sudden dark state.

the hours go by.

and when he opens his eyes again, everything is blurry and coloured a dark, blood red.
