It was him

Louis' POV

"Lottie! Get the girls up!" I yelled up the stairs and I heard Lottie groaning. She's oldest of the girls, and also the most stubborn, she got that from dad.

I went back to the kitchen and finished making breakfast. I grabbed five plates and placed them around the table. I stacked two pancakes on each plate and a couple of fruits on the side. I'll let them decide what they want to drink. I would've normally drink tea, but I stayed up late the night before, so I drank coffee instead.

The girls came rushing down, all of them ready. They sat down and started eating.

"How'd you sleep, girls?" I asked them taking a bite of a strawberry.

"Good." Phoebe and Daisy said in unison. My lips twitched up into a small smile. I found it adorable when they do that.

"Where's mom?" Daisy asked and my smile faded.

Lottie and I shared a look before I answered her. "She's asleep."

"Hey, Daisy! Are you excited for your art class?" Fizzy asked, trying to change the subject.

I smiled widely. "Yeah! You have your presentation today, don't you?"

She jumped up and down in her seat. "Yeah! I get to present my painting!"

"You'll do great, Daisy," I said and we finished our breakfast in silence.

"Come on Lottie!" I heard fizzy say before I heard the door slamming.

I chuckled and finished tying my shoes. I stood up and went to check in on my mum. I opened the door to her bedroom and poked my head in. I shook my head and sighed. She wasn't even in her bed. She was on the floor with an empty bottle of wine next to her. Her room was a mess and it stank of alcohol.

I rolled my eyes and closed the door. This was a daily routine. She would pass out until night time, then when she would wake up she would drink until she passed out again. Then it started over again.

I grabbed my backpack, phone, and keys. I locked the door and went over to my car.  As I got in, I saw Lottie's car speed off in the direction of their school.

When my mom was stable, she thought that making me and my sisters going to different schools was a good idea.

I turned the engine on and drove to school.

When I got there, people stared, as always. I spotted Liam and Zayn over by the stairs. I walked over to them and gave them a bro-hug.

"Hey, Tommo. You ready for soccer practice, tomorrow?" Zayn asked.

Zayn was never really into sports until Liam said he was going to try out for football.

See, Zayn liked Liam since the 4th grade. Liam liked him as well, but they were so oblivious. They both told me that they liked each other, but they thought that the other didn't like them. They made me swear to not say anything. So now I'm forced to shut up every time they do something cute.

Even if they did come out and started dating, they couldn't. Our school bully, Jonathan, is a real homophobic. And a jackass, too. He would make their life a living hell for it.

"Yeah. This time I'll remember to bring my shoes." I said and Liam laughed.

"Good. You don't want to run 30 laps again, do you?" Liam said and I shook my head, laughing too.

I looked over at Zayn and saw him staring hungrily at Liam's lips. I cleared my throat and Zayn immediately looked away, a small blush forming.

"Anyway, have you seen the new kid?" Zayn asked after he calmed down.
