why are memories
translucent
they fade away
like rose colored dye
in an evanescent
light
you hold onto them
like an iced coffee -
slowly savored
effervescent
alive as they replay
in our hearts
in iridescent
moments
turned into colors
even more beautiful
as we forget details
and hold onto
the feelings
that come alive
a/n: please tell me if this is awful. i was trying to express the idea that memories fade over time, but the good ones you hold onto. you might not be able to remember every detail, but you remember the emotions.
