tears fall down my face
in abundance
soaking the ends of my hair
until my face is buried
in your shirt
shh you say
look at me
you gently force my chin up
you are the best girlfriend
this was the best week of my life
i can barely see you through the tears
choking on my own saliva
you are kind and generous
you make me smile
you make me laugh
you give me so much joy
thank you so much for coming
thank you for being my girlfriend
thank you for loving me
thank you for listening to me
thank you for caring
instead of thinning the tears thicken
and my groans increase
i love you, you say its okay. ill see you soon.
i love you too, i choke out between sobs.
you laugh
its gentle
with an ebb of sadness
and wipe away my tears
its time to take some selfies... you say
i laugh, so now your all about taking pictures?
you smile, because i know itll make you happy.
