Human beings are known to promise and fail, because they're humans. The weekend dad promised us didn't happen again because things came up and he had to leave for a business trip leaving all of us at home promising us another weekend.

It was Saturday morning and Jasper had returned from wherever he disappeared to. This was the second time he was doing this since I knew him.

I was quietly lying down in my room, listening to music after doing all my homework when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I called.

No one came in so I stood up to open the door myself to see Jasper.

"Hey, come in," I turned around going to lay on my bed.

He followed me in sitting on the bed beside me.

"How may I help you," I asked facing him.

"Paige requested that I take you out to anywhere of your choice. Her and Ky just left and Sarah is out too," he said.

Okay this is very strange. Paige surely has something up her sleeves otherwise she wouldn't make such request. Anyways it saves me from sitting in the house all alone without anything to do.

"Okay," I stood up from the bed "I'll meet you down in a few." I told him and he left the room.

I changed into black jeans and a plain black crop top and my black boots. I pulled my hair out of its pony tail, letting it fall then brushing it straight. I wasn't applying any make up today so I just changed my earrings and grabbed my phone from the bed and my purse.

When I got downstairs Jasper was on the couch his face glued to his phone not even acknowledging my presence. I cleared my throat and he looked up at me.

His eyes scanned me slowly from head to toe before he stood up. His eyes scanning me made me feel too conscious. What was wrong with my dressing?

"Are you going to look at me all day or we're going to leave this place," I snapped my fingers in his face when I noticed his eyes wouldn't leave my body.

"You're right let's go," he shook his head and proceeded to leave the house.

When we got to the car the silence that filled it was awfully uncomfortable so I put on the radio to fill the silence but he put it off immediately it came on.

"So where are you taking me," I asked breaking the silence again.

"Lunch," he replied his eyes still fixed on the road.

"Then after lunch?"

"Wherever you want to go to," he took a left turn.

"But I don't know anywhere on this part of town," I wove my hands in the air.

We stopped at a red light and he turned to look at me, "can you just stop talking and let's get this over with?" His eyes pleaded with me and I nodded looking out the window.

It's obvious he didn't want to be here and he was just doing it maybe because Paige or Kyler forced him to do it.

When he took me to get ice cream he was different and I saw a side of him that I liked. Whatever happened to him to bring out this side of him, I didn't like it.

His reaction kind of made my chest ache and I just felt like running back home and drowning myself in some more music but I can't just ask him to turn around, we're probably close to our destination.
