Froy Gutierrez as Jasper Vanderwall ^^

After breakfast just one question got him stiff and tense. I cleared my throat to remind him that I was there.

"Sorry come again" he shook his head, probably to clear his thoughts.

"I said," I sat up straighter on the couch, "Why did you and Kaitlyn break up?" I asked again.

"Well first she's a bitch, a psychotic one." he stated, relaxing a bit.

I gasped "Why would you say that?"

"Are you sure you're okay with talking about my ex like this?" He crossed his arms over his chest.

I could feel the tension radiating off of him, he wasn't comfortable but he seemed willing to tell me at the same time.

"Yeah, I need to know who I'm going to be dealing with" I said as a matter of factly.

He stared at me and I could visibly see him relax as a small smile formed on his lips.

"If I can remember correctly, Paige mentioned something about some Kaitlyn returning from New York. Is it the same Kaitlyn?" I chewed on the skin by my nails.

If it was the same Kaitlyn then this was horrible, she already knows my face and my name so if she sees me in school she'd think I'm trying to take Jasper away from her.

Okay maybe I'm taking Jasper away but she is no longer his. I guess I'm having some girl fight coming.

"Sadly she is," it was like he could read my thoughts, "don't worry she won't be any trouble for you. I'll have her settled." His words spoke a lot more than I actually understood.

He knew exactly what I was thinking and he knew that I wouldn't like it if there was some psychotic ex girlfriend in my way.

"Why did you say she is psycho?" I decided to push away my thoughts of his last words.

"It's a pretty long story," his left hand tugged on his hair a little bit.

"We've got all the time we want," I dropped my leg on the coffee table.

Silence filled the air, he opened his mouth to speak up a thousand times but he ended up closing it again. I don't get why he's so worked up about this. I'm totally comfortable with the topic but he seems restless for a reason.

"Alright, so you know about the gang stuff. I normally don't like to get the girls I date to get involved in the gang life but she wanted to be in it, she likes the thrill of the guns and the killings and all that but I always tried to push her away. She got angry about it and left me and became a tool to a rival gang. She didn't know they were using her to try to get information from her about our gang. I tried to warn her and win her back but she was too stubborn to listen. She got involved in a gang shooting and she was badly injured. Her parents saw her wounds and they moved her to New York." He said in a rush and let out a deep breath when he was done, "Oh and also, most people didn't know we were dating, they always taught we were friends with benefits."

"Oh," my mouth formed an O, "fantastic story," that explains a whole lot.

He eyed me, "It isn't. Anyways, Jemma you have to know that if you're getting involved with me, there's a lot to it and you have to make sure to stay out of my gang business," he said seriously.

The look on his face said it all, he wasn't joking at all. I nodded in understanding, the gang life isn't interesting to me in any way.

What did this mean for us now, he had just accepted to the fact that I'd be getting involved with him, that means he accepts me. But I still don't trust him fully. I feel like there's something else he's hiding.
