Everyone had left for a few hours and I ended up just giving myself a tour of the place before settling down in the movie theater room with some popcorn and turning on some movies to start watching.

This was really nice and bad ass if you ask me. In fact, I thought it was better than a movie theater.

While waiting for everyone to come back, my phone had gone off and when I looked to see who it was, I was surprised and yet sick to my stomach at the same time......It was my ex.

He sent me a text saying 'hi' to me and that he was sorry for what he said and did, including the part of cheating on me and that he wants me back. You all know how it is 'blah blah blah blah blah'.

I immediately ignored him and blocked the number then deleted the message before I heard the double doors to this room open up and in walked Giselle, Kavina, Rockwell and Elliot.

"There you are!" Giselle says as they all come over and plop down next to me.

"What are ya watchin'?" Kavina asks while grabbing some of my popcorn.

"Nothing much really. How did your guys' thing go?" I asked.

"Alright. Just business as usual." Rockwell joked.

"Oh." I replied.

"So hey, we brought your stuff over and wanted to know if you were good with having a barbecue tonight while having a few friends over to introduce you to." Giselle suggests.

"Sure." I shrugged a little as I didn't care really since I liked barbecues.

All of us ladies were in the kitchen preparing some side dishes while everyone else was out back grilling and hanging out.

There weren't as many people here as there were at the Masquerade but, it was a lot of people still. Mostly guys with some of their girlfriends with them.

Everyone seemed to be nice and it almost seemed like they were all family but Giselle and them all explained they are all just really good friends and have been since they all met in between grade school and middle school.

After everything was ready and we all walked outside to get ready to sit down and eat, I noticed Landon wasn't out here a whole lot and was more in his study in the house. So I decided to go and let him know everything was ready.

When I knocked on the door, I opened it a little and could hear him talking on the phone to someone. Then as soon as he see's me he immediately turns around looks away as if he wanted to hide from me seeing him cry or something.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm fine." He says as he throws his cell phone down. "What do you want?" He snaps before turning around to face me again.

"I just wanted to see if you were hungry. The food is all done." I tell him.

"I'll eat later." He says. "Please leave me alone right now."

"Fine." I snap back at him and turn to leave. Though not before saying something under my breath. "Asshole." Then I slam the door shut.

That attitude of his he needs to put in check and fix it real quick. Besides, these are his friends and everything, you'd think he'd want to hang out with them.

However, it wasn't until I got to the doorway of the backyard that I began to realize that maybe whoever was on the phone gave him some bad news. Possibly about his aunt Renai?

I wanted to believe so bad that that was the reason for him being rude and snappy towards me. Though it's still not an excuse but maybe he doesn't want to be around anybody if that's the case. However, he does have to eat also.

I walk over to the table and realize that everyone is actually not sitting at the table but instead are sitting around all over in the house and in the backyard. So I just quickly pile some food onto two plates, one for me and one for him, grab us both a drink from the cooler and paper towels before heading into the study.

After closing the door behind me and carrying the food towards his desk, he looks at me confused.

"Despite how busy you are and how upset you feel, you still need to eat." I tell him as I set down the plates on the corner of the desk, hand him eating utensils and a paper towel along with a drink and then pull up a chair from the front of his desk and take a seat beside him at the corner and start eating.

"Thanks." I hear him say a moment later after I start eating.

"You're welcome. I didn't know what you liked and didn't ask so just threw a bunch of stuff on there." I laugh a little.

"This all looks good. I appreciate it." He tells me as he takes a bite from one of the ribs.

I guess this could be considered the start of a friendship maybe? A truce even?
