Chapter 4: Mall Time!

Bethany's POV:

"Why don't we go to the mall?" I said awkwardly.

"Yeah, we probably should. It's already noon haha." Rydel answered.

Me, Rydel, Ross, Ratliff and Rocky got up and walked towards the front door.

"Riker! You sure you don't wanna come?" Ross assured.

"Yeah! I'm good, thanks though." He replied.

"Alright, Rydel, we taking your car?" Rocky asked.

"Um yeah sure!" She answered.

We all went into Rydel's car and drove to the mall. In about 15 minutes, we were there.

Once we got into the mall, I immediately spotted Forever 21. I smiled.

"Why don't you girls go to Forever 21, while we go to the video game store? We can meet in the food court at 1:45pm." Ratliff suggested.

"Sounds good, see Ya then!" Rydel replied.

When me and Rydel were walking towards Forever 21, it was awkwardly silent. I don't even know why!

"So, what do you wanna look at first?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Hmmmmm...." She said eying the store. Her eyes light up and she replied:

"Shoes!"

"Yes! I love shoe shopping."

We went towards the shoes and was trying on a whole bunch of pairs. Rydel found this hight heeled black ankle boots she wanted and I found some cute white wedges.

"Why don't we look at clothes?" Rydel asked.

I nodded my head and we went towards the dress section.

We tried on a whole bunch of dresses but decided to only get one each. Mine was a lace bottom light blue dress and Rydel's was a short pink dress with lace at the bottom too but also lace at her neck.

As we were looking through some skirts, Rydel asked:

"Uhh... Why were you staring at Ross earlier at breakfast?"

I immediately turned red.

"Pffft was I? Oh my gosh! I didn't even notice! I was probably lost in my thoughts and didn't realize who I was looking at." I said, lying.

I'm really bad at lying so she would probably notice I'm lying.

"You sure? Beth, I know you can't lie!" She said.

Dang it. What am I gonna tell her?

"Um, well, I don't know." I replied. Actually not lying.

"How do you not know?" She answered, giggling.

"I don't know why I was staring at him. I've been feeling weird, like a nervous weird around him and I don't know why!" I confessed.

"Um Bethany, that's called love."
