He groaned at the sudden attack before turning in my direction. I'd forget about my head ache now.

I was both stunned and shocked to see the person standing a few feet away from me.

I definitely didn't see that coming!

Tirzah's POV

"Ouch!" he exclaimed eyeing me in question.

"What did you do that for?" He asked still rubbing the back of his head.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him crossing my arms over my chest.

"Nice to see you too!" He said cheerfully as if I didn't even hit him.

I furrowed my eye brows at him.

"Seriously Logan just what are you doing here? At freaking four in the morning!" I asked getting irritated.

He turned to face me. His flawless face showed perplexity and anxiousness. My mood also changed just by looking at him.

The unnerving question popped into mind, "Did something happen last night?"

"Why do you look so apprehensive?" I asked also getting worried.

He sighed heavily and looked into my eyes, there was sadness in his eyes and regret?

"You don't remember w-what h-happened?" He asked stuttering.

I gave a blank face. He looked away almost pondering on whether to tell me or not.

What happened last night that my own boyfriend is hesitant to tell me?

He glanced at me before walking over to me. His eyes inspected every inch of my face while I stood there staring at him in bewilderment.

"Does it still feel sore?" he cooed, this time gazing into my eyes. I think the look of confusion I held made him sigh.

I suddenly became engulfed in his warm arms. I could hear the rapid pacing of his heart as I snuggled closer to him but felt an uncomfortable stinging upon pressing my face to his chest.

"I'm sorry sugarplum. If only I arrived earlier.... maybe, just maybe you wouldn't be hurt...."

"What? Logan, please just tell me..." I asked as I looked at him.

He sighed before relaying everything. Images of last night swarmed my mind. From the time we arrived to calling Logan, to feeling drowsy, to discovering the crazed misunderstanding, to the confrontation, right to the blackout.

I shivered as I pondered on it all. Honestly, I'm just glad my friends are fine.

"When I found you guys, that guy had thrown his fist at you. I was too late-"

"No. No one is at fault. It's just a matter of....... uncertainty. We couldn't have avoided it unless we didn't go to the party at all. It doesn't matter anymore. It's done and guess what? We're alive!" I tried to uplift him as well as clear the tensed atmosphere.

"How are you so positive even after something like this?" he planted a kiss on my forehead, making me wince.

"Oh! Sugarplum I'm so-"

"Shush I'm just kidding" I giggled cheekily.

He squinted his eyes at me before he lifted me off the ground, causing me to shriek.

"Logan! Put me down!!" I chuckled at his goofiness.

"Mum took a look at you. Luckily, she was at the clinic. No fractures nor tissue damage. Just a swelling on the cheek area and a mild concussion. She prescribed some acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Don't worry she vowed not to tell mum and dad... yet..." logan informed before handing me an ice pack.
