Alli's POV

I tiredly picked up my stuff and followed everyone out of the lecture hall.

"Ugh. Why does Professor Kingsley have to be soo boring." Ava complained linking our arms together.

"It's a lecture class. He's supposed to talk all class period." I stated out the obvious lugging the heavy weight that Ava is, since she was leaning on me.

"He can at least make it fun." Ava suggested.

"Why don't you just start a whole ' Class lectures should be fun' campaign." I laughed sarcastically.

"I should." She said excitedly as if a light bulb just went off in her head. Then she realized I was kidding and pouted. "And you can be the nerd that does all the wordy things." She struck her tongue.

I laughed at how innocent she was being. "You should've picked a more fun lecture class then." I blamed.

"But this one was required for first year English." She protested.

"Then stop complaining." I stated and then laughed about it.

"Aren't you a pocket full of sunshine." She said sarcastically. Her way of insulting people wasc always innocent and funny. "How was your graphic design class earlier?" She changed the subject.

I sighed remembering the class. "It's ok I guess."

"Teacher sucks? No cute boys?" She asked winking and smirking.

"No." I stated. "It's just once the teacher started talking about the topic more and the projects we'll be doing, I feel like it's not something I want to pursue." I sighed again suddenly unsure of my future.

"We all have doubts. Besides it's only our first semester, give it a chance." She advised.

I smiled, "You're right." I agreed realizing she was right this is our first semester.

College had started for us a couple months ago. I was so nervous about entering, that I was starting to doubt myself and convince this wasn't for me. But then again I thought that maybe I was being dumb, I was just being paranoid and scared. At least I had my best friend attending the same colleges and I was able to go home whenever I wanted since the campus is in the same city.

Although school had started, my mind always walked around one person. Shane. I even said to just forget about him, but I couldn't. Ever since the last time I saw him at the park, I always think of what could've happened if we did kiss that day, I'd probably have a boyfriend. But honestly right now, after school has started I'm not looking for a relationship right now. I think what happened this summer traumatized me.

"I needed this so bad." Ava said in relief referring to her pumpkin spice mocha. "Are you going home soon?" She asked after being mesmerized with her coffee.

"Uhmm. No." I answered remembering if I had any other plans. "You?" I asked back.

"No. I have to check out a book at the library later." She replied.

"Oh. You want to go home together?" I countered.

"Uhm, sure." She answered taking another sip of her coffee.

"So you want to go to the library now?" I asked.

She took another sip of her coffee and looked over at me. "Later, besides it's too early to go home." She whined. "We just got out of a boring place and now you want to go to another boring place?" She complained. "Let's rest." She added taking a seat at a table in the middle area of the campus.
