"So, you really believe that you're...cursed?" Lance asked Rapunzel. "Well...yeah. Wait, (Y/n), shouldn't you be cursed too?" She asked me while I was searching the caravan for eggs. "If she has cursed us then maybe. While I'm not sure if she actually has or hasn't, there is a very slim chance that she actually succeeded at cursing me. I use protection spells, spell jars, even objects to protect me. It's way more likely that you got cursed than I did. There's also a chance that since I am unable of being cursed that you get cursed twice as hard." I said looking in one final place and sighing. "We don't have eggs either so there's no way to tell for sure."

"Come on you guys! Varian! My man of science! Please tell these lovely ladies that there are no such things as curses." Eugene said and moved behind Varian who had his nose stuck in a book. Varian looked up and glanced at me. "Eugene I look up to you in practically every single way I can in my day to day life, but have you ever seen the things that (Y/n) does? Things such as curses, hexes, sour jars, and probably more are all up her alley. While I personally believe that curses is a bunch of hocus pocus I'm not going to ridicule my girlfriend especially when I know that one of those curses could end up on me." Varian said and placed his hand in his chest looking up at Eugene. "First of all, I don't think I could ever morally put a curse on you, Sapphs. Second, curse or no curse it's not good to dwell that it's a curse and bad things will happen. You'll end up manifesting your own curse if you're not careful." I said and placed a kiss to Varian's forehead as I walked by him and sat next to him.

"For the last time, curses aren't real!" Eugene said and I rolled my eyes. "Or are they?" Hookfoot said trying to sound creepy and holding up one of my books. "The Source Book of Superstitions? Come on! Why do we even have this in the caravan?" Eugene asked and I bit my lip looking down at the ground. "It's yours isn't it, (Y/n)?" Eugene asked and I nodded while Hookfoot opened the book.

"Here we go. The telltale signs of a hex. Number one: weakness." Hookfoot read out loud and looked at Rapunzel. "Huh...I am a little bit worn out." She said slumping down in her seat more. "We've been walking for hours!" Eugene said and Hookfoot ignored him. "Number two: cold feet." He said and Rapunzel started to panic. "My feet are freezing!" She said and Varian closed his book and looked at her. "You don't wear shoes. Your feet are probably always cold." He said and I nodded. "Number three: bad luck. Princess, that's three out of three!" Hookfoot said and I rolled my eyes. "Which means..." Rapunzel trailed off. "Which means, it's time to stop talking about this baloney and keep moving!" Eugene said snatching the book from Hookfoot.

"(Y/n), what do you think?" Rapunzel asked and I sighed. It is possible, but I wouldn't worry about anything until we do the egg test. We just need to find an egg. Oh! Or we can put a lemon out and put salt on it and it will soak up all of the bad energy!" I said smiling and Varian rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah...uh...we don't have any lemons." He said and I tilted my head to the side. "I was doing an experiment and it was the only acid I could find." He said and I nodded. "Did it work?" I asked and he nodded.

"Flash flood!" Cassandra yelled from outside. "Flash what?" Eugene asked before we were all washed away with the water. We were all standing outside in the rain completely soaked. "I'm sorry, but this just screams curse." Lance said I pulled a piece of amethyst from my pocket and handed it to Rapunzel. "What's this for?" She asked and I took out some of her hair beads. I wrapped the twine around the amethyst and wrapped her hair back up. "Just a little protection. I'm still not sure if you're cursed or not considering these type of things happen to us regularly, but I don't want to take any chances of you actually getting hurt." I said and she nodded. "Thank you."

The next morning Eugene and Rapunzel went out for a chat. Varian and I were collecting the jars I had put out the night before that had filled with rain water. I was closing the jars and handing them to Varian to put in the basket he was carrying. "Look, I get why you think you're cursed, Blondie. I-I do." Eugene said to Rapunzel and handed me a jar I had missed. "When strange things happen to us, we want to believe it's for a reason. But remember what you said about making your own luck?" Eugene asked Rapunzel and they stopped in their tracks. Eugene had caught an apple that was about to fall on her head. "The best way to predict the future is to create your own." Eugene said and Rapunzel seemed to be put more at ease.
