Third POV

Rapunzel watched as the witch walked off with her cat. She quickly turned into the opposite direction and started running. "Everything's gonna be okay, I can find the tower myself. I'll be okay, as long as I don't run into any-Ah! Ruffians!" Rapunzel yelled as she spotted Lance, Eugene, Shorty and Varian. Lance and Eugene hugged each other in fear. "Where?" "Ruffians?!" They both said and Shorty joined in their hug while Varian rolled his eyes. "I will not let you steal my hair!" Rapunzel yelled before running away making Varian stare at her confused. "You could probably stop hugging me now." Eugene said and the men let go of him.  "Did she just say that she won't let us steal her hair? If anyone was going around stealing hair it would be (Y/n)." Varian said using his thumb to point back at the direction Rapunzel had gone.

Rapunzel darted behind a tree with her hair in her hands. "Blondie!" Eugene called out. "Princess!" Lance said after Eugene. "Lang haired girl whose name I can't recall at the moment!" Shorty said and Varian facepalmed before calling out. "Rapunzel!" Ruddiger ran around Varian's body before perching in his shoulders and trying to help look for said girl. The boys continued to call out for her, and Rapunzel peaked at them from behind the tree.

"They have Pascal! They are not gonna get away with this!" Rapunzel said heading off to formulate a plan to get her best friend back. Cassandra came running up to the guys with Owl following behind her. "No time for details. We have to find Raps and (Y/n), they both los their memory. Rapunzel thinks she never left the tower, and I don't even know where (Y/n)'s memory is supposed to be at in her timeline, but it's before we all met. We'll cover more ground if we split up." Cassandra said quickly before darting off. Eugene and Varian stayed where they were while everyone started going their own ways.

"Oh, boy, that's a lot to take in. I'm gonna need a moment." Eugene said and Varian looked up at him letting a small moment of silence pass. "Did it help?" He asked and Eugene shook his head no. "That moments not helping. What about you? Do you have your head around this?" Eugene asked Varian. He was about to respond when Cassandra beat him to it. "Eugene, Varian, focus!" "Right!" "Yes, Cassie!" Varian said giving Cassandra a salute before turning to go into a random direction. "We need to find them! But hey-this is fresh out of the tower Rapunzel right? She's inexperienced. We've got the upper hand!" Eugene said and Lance turned to face him. "What about (Y/n)?" He asked and Varian turned to them. "We should definitely worry about (Y/n). She can easily take on all of us at once and still beat us. If she is with Rapunzel, we need to really start worrying." Varian said before running off with Ruddiger.

Lance and Shorty were together looking for the two girls. "Alright, Shorty, keep your eyes peeled." Lance told Shorty. A long strand of golden hair rapped around Shorty and pulled him away with the only sound being leaves rustling. Lance turned around the the sound of the leaves and no response from Shorty. "Shorty? Shorty?" He asked again only to hear the leaves rustling once more. "Shorty?" He asked again his pitch going higher the more scared he became. Lance backed up into a trip wire making him stop.

He watched as a round rock rolled down a few pieces of wood. The rock rolled into smaller rocks that were set up like dominoes. The rocks soon turned into sticks which cut the wire when they fell into it. This set off a catapult with an egg inside to hit another rock. This rock hit a few others before hitting a large log cutting another wire. Lance yelled as now a hollow log came swinging at him easily capturing him. He heard movement behind him and was able to turn around in the log. He was faced with Rapunzel dressed up as a large spider and she screamed causing Lance to scream in fright. Lance stood up in the log and Rapunzel started chasing him until he was far enough away.

Lance ran until he eventually broke the log right next to Eugene. He held onto Eugene as he stuttered out what happened. "It was a stealthy, jumping sp-p-p-pider ghost!" He said before hiding behind Eugene. "Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. Slow down, what happened?" Eugene asked calmly and Lance grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. "Shorty! She took him! She took him!" Lance said and Eugene rolled his eyes. "Okay you're going to have to be more specific. Which her? And Lance, he's right over there." Eugene said pointing over to Shorty who waved. "Yoo-hoo! Hey fellas. Quick question: how good are you at untying knots?" Shorty asked and they got a good look at the knot that tied his hand to the tree he was leaning on. Both men gasped before hair was wrapped around their legs. They were suspended into the air and Rapunzel lowered herself down for them to see.
