The next day, training was still hard, but at least now, they were able to actually play against eachother. And they sure got a taste of the result of those past days of gruelling training.

They were all panting quite heavily, with the exception of Tenma, which in all honesty, isn't a surprise at all.

During the break, the teammates finally got a breather, and Shinsuke took the chance to ask Tenma the question he forgot about yesterday

"Nee, Tenma."

"Hmm? What is it Shinsuke?"

"Why did you recieve a harder training than all of us?"

The unexpected question, almost made the brunet choke on his water, but luckily, he didn't. He simply wiped away the excess water from his lips, before looking towards his dwarf friend, only to see that the rest of his teammates looking at him as well, clearly wanting to hear his answer

"Umm, well, remember back at the beginning , when I was still under private training with Kidou-san?"

"Yeah. Still can't believe you hid something like that from all of us." Responded the captain while remembering how much of a shock it was to all of them. And whilst most of them were nodding in approval of the captain's words, Kariya and Hikaru simply kept quiet, considering that they joined the team later on

"Heh, yeah, you guys had quite the face that time. But anyway, so, basically, because I did those private trainings, I ended up building some form of resistance against Kidou-san's usual training schedule, resulting in a less effective result. Which is why he prepared a harder schedule for me. Essentially, it's just to get a more decent result than to just waste time on a schedule that isn't gonna be beneficial for me in any way."

Based off of the words that the brunet was giving out, it seemed believable, but, considering how many times they've been fooled by his seemingly truthful and convincing poker face, they've grown a certain cautiousness when it comes to telling the truth with Tenma

"Nothing left to say?"

"Hmm? What are you talking about, Hamano-senpai?"

"Oh, I don't know, maybe about the fact that you might be hiding some other secrets from us?"

'Oh, so that's what this is all about...' Thought the brunet to himself, while internally snorting at how many times he's managed to fool his teammates.

He gets that they're worried, after all, he has kept them in the dark for quite a few things, but it's not like he likes to keep secrets away from them. Sure, at times is fun to just be that one hero who lurks in the darkness, helping others out without them knowing, but, even so, it easily gets overwhelming. Being the good guy in the shadows is not always easy, most of the time it just bruns one out, at least, that's the case with Tenma

"No more hidden secrets, I swear." Lied the brunet, while holding both of his hands up, as if he was surrendering to a bunch of cops, which in this case, would be his helicopter teammates.

He hoped that if anything, they would just let go of the topic, since break is almost over anyway, but, unfortunately, they didn't sway whatsoever. He even looked towards Kidou, to see if he was going to intervene, since this is somewhat of his fault as well, but, who would've thought, the sadist isn't interested in interfering at all, he was just standing at the end of the row of benches, watching the scene unfold right in front of him

'Sh*tty sadist!'

Tenma could already see a disgustingly, sinister smile plastering onto the coach's face, and god! Did he want to punch him square in the face! But, in all honesty, what can a mere first year player like him do to a strategic coach like him, to wipe off that non existent smile from his face?

Nothing. And the mere thought of it just made the brunet cry internally

"Can't tell if you're actually telling the truth, Tenma." Said Tsurugi while sending him a glare. Well, better said, an unintentional glare, or, as the brunet likes to consider, a normal gaze from him

"Even if I have secrets, in the end, it's my business. Why should it concern any of you?"

With that statement from Tenma himself, the team went silent. It seemed like they finally got the message that the brunet doesn't want any of them to get into his business. He just wants them to mind their own life and problems.

At first, he thought they finally gave up after receiving that 'smack talk', but, of course, luck is never on his side when he needs it

"No offense Tenma, but all of your secrets, up until now, have had something to do with us, so theoretically, we should have the right to know."

After hearing those words, the said midfielder suddenly had an urge to protest against his captain, but after thinking about it, his words are actually more than true, to be fair. First, he hid the fact that he was part of Resistance from everyone and now Resistance has become an important part of their journey on the Holy Road. Second, he hid the true intentions of the Kidou's training schedule. And on top of that, he still hasn't revealed his biggest secret about 'him' yet, which, in retrospect, is also linked with this entire soccer mess.

The brunet ended up resting his head on his hand, and presumably rubbed his face with it. At this point, it seems like he's the one who's now cornered up, but even so, he still doesn't want to reveal the truth to them. He hasn't even found the courage to confront it with Reo, so it seems even more impossible to come clean with his teammates

"Tenma, we have no intention of forcing you to spill everything out. You still deserve your privacy, like everyone else. But, what we're asking is for you to tell us what needs to be told. You're a very mature junior, and I think you can decide wether some secrets need to be told or not. Just don't bottle everything up anymore, ok?" Said the captain, while gripping the said brunet's shoulder firmly, yet gently at the same time.

Tenma knew that by agreeing to this, he might be showing an 'uglier' side of him and his life to his teammates, after all, he's one to really keep his word when to comes to his loved ones. But, there's no way he can reject the offer, can he?

"Ok..."
