Chapter 19

"Charlotte... You need to focus on our sale this coming week, okay?"

Pagdating ko pa lang sa opisina ko ay nakaabang na si Madam Grace roon at hinihintay ako. She didn't wait for me to sit down, she quickly told me about the sale for this coming week. According to her, we need to surpass our sale last month. When she finally told me everything, she quickly bid a goodbye to me and came out of my office.

Parang bigla akong na-stress sa mga sinabi niya. Hindi ko pa ginagawa at iniisip ko palang isa-isa ay napapagod na ako. However, this is my job and I don't have nothing to do on it. Dumaan ang mga sandali na tutok lang ako sa laptop ko, inaayos ang mga reports na tatapusin bukas. Unfortunately, I need to go to the shop to check their reports.

"Ms. Charlotte, you want me to go with you?" Maureen asked as she went to my office. I texted her to come over and told her to come along with me. I want her to be familiarized with our company, especially since she doesn't have a chance to visit the shop.

Tumango ako bilang sagot sa kanyang tanong. "We're going after this. I'm going to read it for a while. Kung gusto mo, antayin mo na ako rito," itinuro ko ang couch upang maupo siya roon.

I opened the document that Madam Grace sent to me. The moment I opened it, I almost jump because of the happiness I felt. Fortunately, we were going to the other shop. Hindi roon sa dating shop na pinupuntahan ko. Sa isang hindi gaano at hindi rin naman sobrang laking shop kami pupunta. It's quite far from our building company.

"Shit!" I cussed after realizing that we don't have a car! Ayokong mag-commute dahil hassle. Matatagalan pa kami, baka maipit pa kami sa sobrang traffic.

"Bakit?" Tanong ni Maureen at mabilis na lumapit sa akin. I massaged my temple and shook my head.

I pulsated my fingers when I thought of someone that could help us. Agad kong i-dinial ang number ni Maverick. Sa unang tawag ko ay hindi siya sumagot. Inulit ko ngunit hindi pa rin sumagot ang demonyo! Today is his half day. I tried calling him again. Isa nalang, kapag hindi pa siya sumagot sa iba nalang ako hihingi ng tulong.

I dialed his number again and after three rings, he answered! "Hello?!" I shouted because of the adrenaline rush I felt.

"Bakit ka nakasigaw?" Malumanay na tanong niya mula sa kabilang linya.

"Free ka ngayon? As in now na..." I quickly told him my intention, not minding his question. "Half day mo naman 'di ba?" I continued when he didn't talk.

"Hindi, e. Sorry, mahal... May urgent kasi e, hindi pumasok boss namin. Kailangan ako rito..." He explained. I nodded, as if he could see what I was doing.

"Uhm, okay. Thank you. I love you!" I said.

"I love you, too." He then ended the call.

Nakanguso ako nang tignan ko ang cellphone ko. Ang bilis naman naming nag-usap. Na-mi-miss ko na tuloy siya. After this, I will go to him and I'll embrace him impervious.

"Charlotte, nag-lunch ka na ba?" Agad na pumasok si Wyne sa loob ng opisina ko kahit na alam niyang may kausap ko. Spell bastos? Wyne.

"Ano na naman?! Bigla-biglang pumapasok! Paano na lang kung nakahubad ako?!" Biglang sigaw niya at ngumisi sa akin. "Ano? Naunahan ba kita sa sasabihin mo?" He asked mockingly.

Then something came into my mind. I beam at Wyne. A sweet one. 'Yung tipong oo siya kapag may sinabi ako, at papayag siya kapag may inutos ako. "Tutal nandito ka naman na, at alam kong tapos mo na ang mga trabaho mo. Samahan mo kami ni Maureen," I pointed my index fingers to Maureen.

Bahagya pang nagulat si Wyne nang makita niya roon na nakaupo ang babae at pinanonood lang kami. "Nandiyan ka pala?" He asked, but the woman just smiled at him. "Saan ba kayo pupunta? Kung gala lang, pass ako. Pero kung makatutulong sa lipunan, sige lang. Basta kayo!" He energetically said.
