Mayas POV
Today was actually a good day at work. No that many fires too put out and i got to spend some good time with everyone at the Station. As i got in the house i hear voices from the living room.

"Hi Maya. Your home"
"Hi Andrew, Carina"
"We we're going to go out to the new restaurant that opened you want to join?"
"Yea sure."
"Okay well i'm going to go home and feed Jeff then i'll be back at around 7. Ill also book for a reservation at 7:20"
"Jeff? Why do you need to feed him?"
"Ah Jeff is my dog. She's been alone all day so i need to go feed her."
"Oh sorry. I didn't know you had a dog"
"Oh it's not a problem, itsva weird name for a female dog. I'll see you soon. And Andrea change. Dress some what decent"
"Yes mom"
Carina leaves and i sit down turning on the Tv.
"So, how was your day?"
"Good thanks, pretty calm at the station, You?"
"It was alright. I was on plastics today and personally im not that interested in it but it wasn't terrible"
It got to about 6:00 before i decided to get ready. I curled my hair and put on some light makeup. Then it came to what i should wear. Would a dress be to fancy? Would just jeans a t-shirt be to formal?
"Andrew what are you wearing?"
I shout down the hall towards Andrew.
"Jeans and a nice-ish top"
"Nice-ish? What does that even mean?"
"Not one of my good tops but not a bad one"
"Uh okay"
I settled on a dress it was deep red with small white dots on it.

"Maya are you done? Carina is almost here"
"Yea yea lemme just get my shoes"
I quickly put on my shoes before grabbing and my purse. I leave locking the door behind me. I go to get in the back seat before Carina stops me.
"Ah ah ah Maya in the front. Ladies in the front Andrea get in the back."
"Oh no really i'm fine getting in the back."
"Maya don't fight her on this"
I just laugh to myself while walking around the other side of the car.
"Why thank you"
"I swear Carina your a pain in my ass"
"Yea but you love me"
"Debatable"
While we were on our way i found myself looking at her. I don't know why. She's just.. perfect. We arrived and went to our table. We made conversation before Andrews phone went off.
"I'm sorry they need me in, someone called in sick. I am so sorry."
"It's fine. Go to work we will stay here and eat without you"
"Seriously Andrew go it's fine"
"Again i'm so sorry"
"Okay so. let's get to know each other."
"Huh, why?"
"well your my little brothers roommate i expect to get to know you better"
"Fair enough. So what do you wanna know?"

Pretty sure after this conversation she knows my whole life story from childhood pets to last relationship. We covered every base and took the term 'know eachother better little to literate.

"Okay. You ready to go?"
"Yea. It's only early, you wanna come over? Watch something."
"Sure. You have wine?"
"What kind of question is that, of course I do. Let's go"
We get into the cab and go back to Carinas place.
"Make yourself at home."
I walk through and it's just as i imagined. It just screams Carina. I soon get ran at by a white patchy dog.
"So maya meet Jeff!!"
"She is just the cutest"

We make our way to the living room while Carina gets the wine and glasses. Jeff jumps up and curls up on my lap.
"You know i think Jeff likes me more already."
"Doesn't surprise me. Jeff loves meeting new people. Don't be surprised if in a week she won't bother you anymore"
"Wow Jeffs really the player huh."
"Oh definitely. Okay what do you want to watch"
"Well what do you like? horror? comedy? movie or tv series?"
"Okay well i think TV series and how about a sitcom?"
"Yes i love a good sitcom. Have you seen the office?"
"No but i've been meaning too. Uk or American version?"
"Id say American"
"Okay let's go"
We sat watching the office while just enjoying eachothers company. Making small talk once in awhile about whatever was going on in that episode. Its a crazy show but really good so far. Before we realised so much time had passed and it was getting late.

"Okay well i should probably head home"
"Nonsense. It's really l  ate and you've drank a lot of wine. Go sleep in the bed i'll sleep out here"
"No no i'm the guest i'll sleep on the couch. I'm not gonna kick you out of your own bed."
"No exactly your the guest, you should sleep on the bed"
"No i could not sleep with you out here"
"Well why don't we just share. I have a big enough bed for the both of us. And let's face it neither of us is gonna admit defeat"
"Okay, sounds like a good compromise."
We make our way upstairs and i borrow some of her pyjamas before climbing into her bed. We both soon settle in her bed with Jeff curled up at the bottom. I feel myself drifting off pretty quickly not sure if its the wine or genuine tiredness.

"Goodnight Carina."
"Night Maya, sweet dreams."

Just like that I drifted off to sleep. Safe to say ill sleep good tonight.
