Dear Taylor,
I drove past your old house today and stopped by Amigos.
You know they still have that polaroid of us hanging on the wall?
I listened to the album, by the way.
It sounds like you're doing okay these days. I'm glad.
Love always, Rory

I book a flight to Los Angeles. I don't even tell Taylor about it. I know she won't answer if I text her anyway. Even if there's a chance that she would, I don't want to risk it and lose the last shred of dignity I still have left.

It's the same day of her first show in LA and I barely have time to make it from the airport to the stadium. I don't even have a hotel room and I don't plan on staying the night in this city. All I have on me, really, is my passport, a change of clothes in my backpack, and every last item in that damn shoe box, completely untouched.

I don't know how I'm going to get to talk to her but I'll wait right outside if I have to. She doesn't get to walk away like that. Not without me calling her out on it first. Yes, I paid a ridiculous fee for a plane ticket just to tell her to stop acting so stupid when it would have been a lot cheaper to like send a letter but I need to see the look on her face and I need her to realise just how mad I am.

Somehow, I find the back entrance that is restricted to security personnel and staff. There's a guy standing there in a dark polo and what looks like a taser at his waist. Really lame sunglasses too. I mean, I guess thanks for doing your job and keeping this venue safe when there are tens of thousands of people in there all at once but also dude, get some nicer glasses!

Okay... I'm pissed. And he's not letting me in.

I don't mention the glasses thing out loud because I really need him to let me in but seriously... come on.

"You'll have to go from the main entrance, ma'am."

"I'm telling you, I don't have a ticket. I'm friends with the headliner."

"Yeah, so am I," he laughs in my face, crossing his arms over his chest. "Taylor Swift and I have dinner every Sunday while watching the game. She's cool."

I roll my eyes at him. "Good for you. She literally made this badge for me."

He looks at the ALL ACCESS badge Taylor laminated for me herself with the glitter and the stickers and laughs, again.
