chapter fifteen

"Ugh, not fucking Taylor. My sister is obsessed. And her music is overhyped."

The girls continued chatting about nonsense when they finally arrived at Masons house. Mason had a really big house, with a large fence blocking off the front, so you couldn't really see into the house.

Lilah giggled, "I'll text him that we're here," she said, going onto her phone and texting something to Mason, but Angelica didn't get a text message from the group chat. 'I guess she texts him privately. Maybe he really does like her..' she thought to herself.

Soon enough, Mason walked up to the car, wearing a pair of brown baggy jeans, a green sweatshirt, and matching jewelry. He gave Lilah a small smile, opening the door and sliding into the seat all the way to the left, the farthest from Angelica. Angelica scoffed at Masons behavior, and immediately went on her phone to find something better.

"Heyy Mase," Lilah said, using Masons nickname.

"Hey Lilah." He said, looking up from his phone to look at her, before going back to looking at his phone.

"We're gonna go pick up Winston, and then we'll go to my house!!" Lilah said, smiling. "OMG LEMME PUT SOME MUSIC"

Halle squealed in excitement, "Yessss!!! Play some Taylor Swift."

Mason sent her a weird look. "Ugh, not fucking Taylor. My sister is obsessed. And her music is overhyped."

"I agree with Mason," Lilah said, obviously lying. "Ooh, I'll play some Steve Lacy."

The group continued listening to some music, which mainly consisted of Lana Del Ray, Steve Lacy and Mac DeMarco. They arrived at Winston's house, and he walked up the the car, only to be greeted with no seat in the car.

"Shit. I forgot. We don't have enough seats." Lilah said, grunting.

"Yay. I'm glad I'm so forgettable that you didn't realize there wouldn't be a seat for me." Winston said sarcastically. Halle giggled at what he said.

Lilah looked at her brother, then at the rest or the group. "No, no. Winnie!! You're coming with us. Here uhm... I have to control the aux and stuff but.. Angelica, would you mind sitting on Masons lap? It wouldn't be weird right? Cause you're friends."

I know this chapter is SUPER short but I'll publish another one soon. I promise, I've just been busy. Plus, I honestly don't really like Mason anymore. But I wanna finish this story 💗

This has nothing to do with this story, but I have to rant about this rq.
Sooo... when I was in 5th grade, there was this guy who I would sit next to in math class. I immediately started crushing on him, 1. Because he was nice, 2. Because he was funny, and 3. Because he actually talked to me and gave me the slightest bit of attention. One day, he gave me a sticker, and I thought it was for me! But it was actually for the girl who sat right next to me, who I found out later he had a crush on. I felt super embarrassed. But I still kept crushing on him all of 5th grade, and even gave him a valentine on Valentine's Day, but he gave me a super disgusted look. Anyways, I just started a new High School, and I didn't think I'd know anyone here, but it turns out, that he's in almost all of my classes!! I hadn't seen him since 5th grade (but he honestly looks the exact same). On the first day back, he swore he didn't remember me from 5th grade, but now, he keeps saying he remembers me. We've become reallly good friends, and overtime I've grown to like him AGAIN. Recently I had my school Halloween dance, and I didn't go with a date. He went as a banana 🍌 and I went as Carrie. At the dance, they had this thing called the haunted hallway, and you basically had to wait in a line and they had blocked off half of the school with creepy lights and student actors and stuff. Anyways, I was walking around the school with him when he asked "wanna go in the haunted hallway?" And at first I thought he was just asking in general, but it turns out he was asking me, JUST ME. I later found out that he had already gone on his own, but he still asked me, so he could go with me. After that we just hung out the whole time, and everybody ships us and assumed we were dating, but he's always friendzoning me. We always flirt and tease each other, and we're always weirdly close to each other, like when we're walking or something. Idk if he likes me, and I'm scared to ask!! 😱

Anyways, that's been keeping me up lately, and I just wanted some advice from other people who I don't know. Thanks for reading
