"I can do this" I told myself as I jumped on the spot trying to shake off my nervous energy, fingers snapping the rubber bands that covered my wrists. "I mean I'm seeing him again tomorrow all I'm doing today is getting a flight" I spoke aloud to the empty space in front of me getting odd looks from the other people in the airport.
"Flight 892 to New York is now boarding" I took a deep breath and grabbed my carry on putting the bag strap on my shoulder and shot off a quick text to Kat and Em
Remy: getting on the plane now
I then turned my phone off and tucked it back into the pockets of my skinny jeans before greeting the flight attendant smiling at her and showing her my boarding pass. I entered the plane after that taking my seat once I had put my carry on in the over head area and grabbing my book sitting down by the window, settling in for the flight book in hand.

"Welcome to New York its currently" I tuned out the pilot who was giving us the general after flight information instead I focused on taking deep breaths trying to stop myself from freaking out I was one stop closer to seeing Matt. I closed my book and stood up from my seat waiting for the person sitting next to me to file out into the aisle so I could grab my carry on. I slung the bag strap over my shoulder and started walking off the plane sliding my phone out of my pocket so I could turn it on and text Kat and Em
Remy: I have arrived and need to collect my suitcase
Em: we'll meet you by the carousal
Kat: we're the ones with the really obnoxious sign
Kat: blame the guys for that one
I smiled at their messages slightly worried about this sign. I shook my head telling myself not to worry and made my way to baggage claim where I spotted both my bright red suitcase and a sign that read
FUTURE MRS DADDARIO
being held up by two grinning maniacs who were waving frantically at me, I smiled shaking my head in amusement and grabbed my suitcase wheeling it over to them
"Beautiful sign guys" I said to them in a way of greeting
"You have the boys to thank for that" Kat told me lowering the sign
"Is it bad that I want to keep it and take it back to Portland with me?" I asked eyeing the sign in their hands
"That's just a tad bit weird" Em said "but you do you"
I laughed at her response "alright, alright now take me to my hideout"
"Follow us agent Peterson" I laughed as they both pretended to be secret agents
"Alberto's rubbing off on you two" I told them following after them and leaving the airport
"That's because we spend way too much time with him"
"Alright get in loser" Kat told me as she got in the car
"Calm Regina George I'm getting in" I joked smiling sliding into the backseat as Em and Kat got in the front. I strapped myself in and sat forward putting my face between the passenger and driver's seat "can we have some music?" I questioned looking towards the radio
"Oh my god yes!" Em exclaimed reaching out to fiddle with the dials and buttons turning the radio on allowing music to blast through the car
"Yes Spice Girls!" I cheered as the opening of Wannabe played through the car "time for a sing a long" I sing songed before dramatically clearing my throat getting ready to channel my inner Spice Girl.
I sang the song word for word hitting every note causing the two girls at the front of the car to turn around to look at me in shock both of their mouths forming a perfect o. "I'm British" I said as a way of explanation shrugging, making it out to be no big deal
"We didn't know you could sing like that!" Em exclaimed a longing look in her eyes
"I did start my career on the West End"
"And I was in an episode of Glee" I added on as an after thought
"I wish I could sing" Em said sighing
"We should sing together sometime" Kat told me grinning
"I'd like that" I responded returning the smile
"And we're here!" I looked out the window finally paying attention to my surroundings and noticed the large building towering over us, I undid my seatbelt and got out the car grabbing my luggage and making my way inside the large building following the girls to the lifts located at the very back of the room
"Crap Matt alert" Kat hissed out shoving me into a chair and throwing a book at me whisper yelling at me to hide behind it. I covered my face just as Matt walked past watching his every move as he smiled at Em and Kat in greeting while his eyes travelled over me without really seeing me.
Both girls let out a sigh of relief when he left however I was unimpressed "you would have thought he'd have recognised his girlfriend hiding behind a book but no"
Kat laughed "you can tell him off tomorrow"
I shook my head "I'm tempted to tell him off right now" I spoke my eyes glued to his form as he left the building "but" I spoke before the girls could interrupt "Dom worked hard on this plan"
I grabbed my stuff yet again as we continued to make our way to where I was staying being extra careful this time round after our run in with Matt.
