Chapter 41

- Demi's POV

Last night after we went back to Angie's and since we're really tired we went straight to our room, but since our bed was huge Maddie and Soph went to sleep with us. It's cute to see Soph and Oliva cuddling to sleep they looked like real sisters. Mad and I cuddled to sleep too and we all fell asleep. So, after we woke up with only one hour to go to X factor we got prepared really fast and headed to there. I was going to the back stage with Davi, Pax and Soph. Madison and Olivia said they didn't want to see Simon, I'm sure they're afraid and Marissa said she'd stay with them, I think she's afraid too and the others didn't arrive yet. Simon hadn't arrived yet so I introduced Davi, Paz and Soph to Paulina and Kelly, the girls became really close from me, but I didn't tell tell them about Soph and I and Sophie didn't seem to care at all. Someone started to work on my hair and my three "guests" went to chat with Kelly and Paulina in a couch close to where I was having my hair done
"So you're from Brazil?" Paulina asked Davi and Soph
"Sim senhora. (Yes mrs.) " Davi answered in Portuguese and I didn't really got what he's saying
"Oh, por favor, no me llames así, yo no soy tan viejo. (Oh, please don't call me like that, I'm not that old.)" Pau answered and Soph and Davi laughed their lungs out, but the rest of us were flying
"Can you please talk in English? It's already hard to try to understand one foregoing language, two is even harder!" Kelly said and they laughed
"It's actually what we Latin American call "Portanhol" it's a mix of Portuguese with Spanish." Soph explained and Kelly nodded. I got my hair done and went to talk with them while we waited for the queen diva, Simon Cowell. We're talking when he finally arrive, he looked directly to Soph and came in a aggressive way to her
"What is this brat doing here?" He asked serious and I got really confused and scared. I didn't even know he knew her. He walked to her and she got up, I was trying to stand to walk to her rescue but Davi hold me
"I missed you too old man." Soph said smiling and hugged Simon, he miraculously smiled to her, "Really Simon, you've to stop smoking, you're smelling like it." She said and he laughed
"Simon!" Pax said hi fiving Simon
"Simon." Davi said in a serious, but affective tone shaking his hand while patting each other's back, I looked to Kelly and Paulina who're just as confuse as I was
"Okay, you all. You're better explain everything. How the hell do you all now each other?" I said annoyed and they burst into laugh
"Simon is Pax godfather and he was also a close friend of my father." Soph said and I was a bit shocked
"Wait a minute. You're the Sophie whom Perez was talking about?" Simon asked with a smirk and a raised eyebrow
"You better shut your damn mouth Simon Cowell!" Soph said and he burst I to laughs
"I can't believe you two." He said laughing while pointing to Soph and I
"What're you talking about Simon?" Pau asked and he noticed she and Paulina didn't know
"Oh, nothing really. Just a joke." He said looking at me while grinning, "Let's go ladies, we're late." Simon said changing subject
"YOU are late, not we." Kelly said and we laughed. We're walking to the door, but Simon stopped
"Sophie!" He said making her turn to look at him, "We're definitely talking during the first brake, did you get it?" He said in a, I know it's almost unbelievable, but he said in a fatherly tone
"Okay old man, I'm going to my sit now, so since I'm with a new number ask Demi to test me, okay?" She said and he nodded
"Why're you with a new number? Paps again?" He asked concerned and she nodded sadly
"Always." She said and he nodded concerned, we then walked to the panel and I think the other went to their sits.


- Sophie's POV

I missed Simon, I know he acts like a grumpy old man, but he's actually a really cool and lovable man. I got a bit scared when he mentioned about the Perez thing, I mean, Simon knows I'm bisexual and he also know I'm a Lovatic and he's not idiot, he got the moment he saw me with Demi that we're more than friends, even not knowing Demi was into girls he knows me, he knows how I act around my girlfriends, I always was the protective dominant type and sometimes I show it only by the way I breath, Simon knows me, he figured it out. I have to feel I can protect my mates, I think it's because when I was young I wasn't able to protect myself, not even from my biggest enemy, me. I'm just a bit afraid about what he's gonna say, I mean, Demi works to him and for more he loves me he's a business man and if this relationship comes out it would affect the X Factor either for good or for bad. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even noticed they had done the first brake and my phone was vibrating on my hand, I look at it still a bit out of me and I saw it's Demi, I answered
"Hey baby." I said distant, almost in a whisper, not because I didn't want people to ear, but because I was still a bit out
"Hey... Are you okay?" She asked worried
"Oh... Yeah, I'm fine." I answered starting to feel dizzy, I knew why she had called me and I was kinda scared, worried, because I'd have to listen what Simon had to say
"No, you're not. I'll ask Max to go get you and bring you here." Demi said and I listened her screaming to Max to come pick me, just a few seconds later Max was running toward me, I could see Marissa and Davi looking at me confused, but I nodded saying I was just feeling dizzy and Max got his arms around my shoulders trying to protect me from some flashes and the crowd's gaze, he walked me to the backstage, I thought I was gonna pass out when Max put me on the couch, I could see Demi running toward me and Kelly and Paulina were looking confused not only because of me being there, but also because the way Demi reacted, she didn't only run to me, but she also trowed herself on the floor so she could face me. Demi hold my face and I could see her lips moving, but I couldn't listen what she's saying, I saw someone's hand on her shoulder so I looked up to see who it's and it's Simon, he took me in his arms and we went to what I think was Demi's dressing room, I could see the both of them saying something to each other like if they're arguing so I tried my hardest to listen what they're saying
"Demetria, you have to go back there. She is going to be fine, I know her, she is just nervous." Simon said but Demi shook her head frenetically
"No! I'm not going back there, I'm staying with her!" Demi said, they're screaming on each other's face. The door of the dressing was opened by Kelly who went in the room
"Can you guys try to be a bit more loud, I think the people waiting in the line aren't listening you well enough." Kelly shouted and they stop arguing
"I'm sorry." Demi said ashamed. I decided to try to stand up, because I couldn't have an anxiety attack and let Demi worried, Kelly looked at me when I sit straight in the divan and Demi and Simon turned to look at me
"Demetria Devonne Lovato, I don't give a shit if you're worried, you're going back there now." I said firmly and everyone got surprised, "Simon Cowell the next time you scream with her I'll get my fist on your face." I said pissed and Kelly giggled, "I'm sorry Kelly, I'm the reason of their fight, but they're "adults" so they're acting like it by now." I said making air quotations with my fingers
"I don't really agree with the adult part, but I hope they act like it, because some crew members were asking me who's here that Demi didn't want to leave." Kelly said and I rolled my eyes to Simon and Demi
"Just amazing!" I said ironically, "Demi call Marissa, ask her to come stay with me here, I'm not feeling okay." I said losing my equilibrium and zoning out a little, Demi nodded and ringed Marissa asking her to come, some seconds later Rissa was sting by my side
"Hey girl, what're you feeling?" She asked me, Demi, Simon and Kelly were still in the room, just then I noticed Paulina wasn't there
"Where's Paulina?" I asked ignoring Marissa's question, but it's not on propose, I wasn't being able to concentrate
"She's talking to the crowd, she was saying They're just having some technical problems, but the auditions were going to restart at any minute." Marissa said answering my question, "Now tell me, what're you feeling?" She asked me again
"I had.. I had.. I had." I couldn't say it, I was too ashamed to tell it in front of all of them, especially Kelly, I didn't really know her at all, but I could see she's worried about me
"She panicked, she had an anxiety attack. It's my fault." Simon said straight as if it was the most normal thing to be said, everyone looked at him confused
"It's okay, I'm okay now. Just let me have some rest and I'll be fine." I said and they nodded. Simon went to give me a kiss on the top of my head, then Kelly came and gave me a quickly but affective hug, then Demi walked toward me and gave me a soft kiss on the lips, which by the way took me by surprise because Kelly was still there and she's looking at us, but she's not surprised which surprised me. I kissed Demi back and then she pulled away
"Wait!" I said and they looked back at me, "Did you know?" I asked looking at Kelly
"Are you serious?" She asked giggling, "I never saw my girl that worried about someone before." She said with a grin while resting her arm around Demi's shoulder. Demi and I blushed while smiling at each other
"Am I really that obvious?" Demi asked still blushing
"Not really, I just noticed when you freaked out, but today after you introduced her to me if anyone asked me I'd put my hand in the fire affirming you're only friends." Kelly answered and they walked away, Demi blowed me a kiss before close the door. Marissa put me in her arms making me more comfortable
"Now tell me. Why did you have an anxiety attack?" She asked and I told her everything explaining Simon had figured out about Demi and I and that I was afraid of what he'd say about it because of the show and stuffs. She just listened me hugging me, my back was resting on her chest and she's caressing my hair to make me calm down. After I finished I started to feel sleepy so she told me I could sleep and that she'd be there when I woke up, so I closed my eyes and slept.
