"What is it??" I asked, as Marcus physically dragged me out and practically threw me into our room. He seemed a little out of breath and had his hands up in front of him, as though defending himself.
"OK, so I may be wrong here and I apologise profusely in advance if I am," he said, his voice shaking.
"What is it, man? You're freaking me out." He took in a singular deep breath.
"Zoe likes you too," he blurted out. I stopped and stared at him. I felt the blood pump in my ears. Time seemed to stop.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" I asked I'm disbelief. He seemed irritated at having to repeat himself.
"Zoe Sugg? You know, the girl who you're clearly pining over but won't have the balls to admit it? She likes you too." I blinked several times. I had heard correctly.
"Well...what...where...how do you know?" I stuttered.
"It's hard to explain man but I'm 99% sure here. It was the way she looked at you and.."
"You've got all of this from a look??" I shrieked, then lowered my voice, hoping the others wouldn't hear and come to find out what was going on. "A look??"
"Dude, I knew that you liked her from seeing your look." The more I thought about it my face must've broken as Marcus raised his eyebrows in a "told you so" way.
"What do I do?" I asked, after a long pause.
"Whatever you feel you need to do," Marcus said evenly. "Just remember there are other people involved here. What about Kimmi?" I remained silent.
"Well, we haven't spoken for days," I admitted.
"And have you made he effort to contact her?" he questioned. After realising I hadn't, I shook my head slowly, looking downwards. Things were becoming clearer every passing second.

Marcus stepped forward and put a hand on my shoulder. "I think you know what you need to do," he said softly. "Do what you want to do. Whatever you choose, I'm here," he finished. I reached up my hand to pat his heavily. It was times like this, having someone like Marcus was an absolute Godsend.

After Marcus had fine, I had a million thoughts in my head. I needed to find out, for definite, from her. That was first on the list. But not right now. I would do it later. After dinner. Yes, Jack wasn't due back until after we would be in bed. Tonight could be the perfect time. Depending on the outcome, I would speak to Kimmi when we got back.

Feeling slightly more settled about everything, now it was clear in my mind that I did have feelings for her and I wasn't just going crazy I made my way back to the house. I saw her, out by the pool. Her long hair was plaited and she had no make up on but she still looked completely stunning. I grinned at her laughing. She was stood at the edge of the pool, having finished blowing up her inflatable.

Without thinking, I began to run. I ran straight through the lounge, past the guys on the sofas who shouted at me and straight out the sliding doors. I sprinted across the tiles, making eye contact with her. Once she noticed I was heading straight for her her face turned to one of shock but before she could say anything, I ploughed into her, grabbing her waist firmly with my hands and send us both rocketing into the pool. We both resurfaced and she wiped water from her face. I could hear everyone else jeering and laughing.
"Alfie!!!! WHAT THE HELL??!!" she yelled, but her shock soon turned to laughter. I still had hold of her waist and her arms clutched my neck as we both kicked furiously to stay afloat. Being this close to her was heavenly. While I couldn't yet tell her how I felt, a little harmless, high-school flirting would have to make do in the meantime.
