Gracie opened the door to an unfamiliar face.

"Graciela?"

---

Gracie furrowed her eyebrows. To her memory, she had never seen this person before. Also to her memory, the only people that knew her real name was the Volturi.

"Maybe."

The man breathed out, hearing the girls voice for the first time.

"Are you from the Volturi?" Gracie asked, quite frightened as she focused on his black eyes.

The man seemed still young, possibly in his early to mid 30s. He wore a large, black bomber jacket with a hood resting behind his neck. His dark hair was thick with oil, a few strands dangling onto his forehead which he pushed back a couple times like a nervous habit. For a vampire, his skin seemed less pristine in the way that it was covered in bits of dirt, dried blood and weirdly showed that this man hadn't slept in ages.

Jared stepped right beside Gracie, glaring a cold hard stare at the cold blooded man before them. The man looked at Jared, instantly noticing that he was a werewolf.

"No. Certainly not." The man began, looking around him before he continued slightly quieter. "My name is Emilio Di Russo."

He stopped to see how she'd react to his name. Gracie's eyes filled with water. She knew who he was but did not remember anything to do with him. She hated that she couldn't remember. She hated that she didn't know the difference between the truth and the false.

"You...You were locked up. The Volturi locked you up. It's not possible for you to be here. Even if it were, you wouldn't possibly have been able to locate where I live now." Gracie spoke quickly, her tears falling gently.

Jared looked from Gracie to this man named Emilio. Sam and Embry came towards the front door, hearing the exchange of voices. Jared moved back, letting Sam in front of Gracie then Embry beside his wife. Both Gracie and Emilio ignored them, focusing on each other for the time being. The man really seemed on edge. He seemed more frightened than the people who stood in front of.

"The Volturi is falling. Prisoners are out. There's no doubt they know where I would go but I'd rather die with having seen you again then being contained with only a faint memory of you."

Gracie breathed out, looking to Sam first before Embry. Sam had caught on, remembering the conversation with Alec previously about Emilio Di Russo being imprisoned in the cells beneath the Volturi. Embry, on the other hand, felt lost.

"I don't remember anything." Gracie responded, not knowing what else to say.

Part of her wanted to engulf him but the other part saw him only as a stranger. Seth was holding Riley in his arms peering out the living room window with Brady and Collin, also completely lost with the situation.

"Your memory was wiped. Where would I find Rilian?" Emilio asked his voice croaking a little here and there, taking a step forward whilst ignoring the Embry's low growl.

There was a silence. Sam looked down, Embry looked to Gracie as she just blinked a couple times.

"He was turned. Then killed by newborns in a battle almost four years ago." Gracie answered nonchalantly which was unexpected to her family beside her.

Emilio sighed and shook his head. He sincerely looked upset.

"Why did you come back?" Sam inquired this time, crossing his arms on his chest whilst leaning on the post just in front of the front door. "This will put her in danger, you realise that."
