"Hey , I've to take this call , it's my parents" I told Maddy & she replied by nodding her head
"Hey Mom. How are you?" I asked my mom. I really miss her & there's this feeling that I can't get rid of. It's been a month now & I still feel like something bad is going to happen.
"I'm fine sweetie. How are you?" Mom asked
"I'm fine. How's Dad? & how's your business tour so far?" I asked
"He's fine. Everything's going well. It's just that I miss you & Alexander & I don't know why. We've been on many tours but this one feels different. As if it's a GOODBYE" She let out an exasperated sigh
"Mom , don't say that." I said. I'm already feeling down & her words are like bullets to my heart right now.
"Sweetie ! Your Dad & I , we wanted to come & see you but we're so caught up in work that we can't. I'm sorry" Mom apologized with sadness evident in her voice
"It's okay Mom. We're in the same City but it's okay. I would've asked you to meet me but I can understand how busy a person can get when it comes to business" I said understanding her position
Business is like that. Parents have to compromise on everything , even on their children so that they can make their children live a life without any hardships & I completely understand that. Mom & Dad had always tried their best to spend their quality time with me & Alex. We had our nannies but since we're grown ups now , we can take of ourselves.
"Look Mom , I've to go now. I'll see you at home" I ended my call
As I was about to go inside I saw an electrifying light out of nowhere or more like a portal--- What? & came out a guy , exactly the same guy I saw in my dream! And I noticed that we're standing in the same hallway
The only difference is that he hasn't seen me yet. I took a cover behind the bushes near that hallway & the guy disappeared leaving the portal opened. After 10 minutes , he came back. I emerged from the bushes & observed him carefully & trust me when I say it feels like I'm having the same dream I had few months ago , ALL OVER AGAIN!
He made his way into the portal & disappeared. I was about to follow him when a hand stopped me
"El , where were you?" Jason asked
"Did you see it?" I asked astonished
"What? I saw what?" He replied
I know that he saw everything but there's definitely something that he's hiding
"Nothing , let's go"

I'm so happy to finally see my parents after one month & 20 days. It feels like I haven't seen them for years. I'm being a little over dramatic but I can't help it.

"Hey aunt Chelsea !! It's been long" I said overjoyed
"But why are you dressed in black. You hate black! Where's Alexander?" I asked
"El" Alexander cried out & hugged me so tight that I felt my bones cracking up
And why is he crying? Why IS SHE CRYING?
"WHAT'S WRONG?" I asked alarmed
"Where's Mom & Dad?" I asked , again a tear rolled down my damped cheek
"Alexander ? TELL ME!" I yelled
"El , they're no more! They died in a car accident on their way back home" Alex said through gritted teeth
At that moment , My heart sank. I started feeling dizzy. I was flabbergasted. I felt like the ground is slipping under my feet! And it all made sense , why I was feeling apprehensive & my Mom feeling like it was goodbye!
My head started spinning & I dropped to the ground , hugged Alex & cried my heart out.
I'm the only one he has left now.

I can't believe I'll be attending my parents funeral today! Tears kept falling , blending in with the rain. It felt surreal.
Delivering a euology in the pulpit was painful as the death was unexpected. I kept looking at the two caskets in which Mom & Dad were placed. I never thought this day would come.
Alex was standing next to Aunt Chelsea. Holding an umbrella over their heads. Aunt Chelsea kept trembling. Dad was her older brother. After the death of their parents , aunt chelsea was only 6 & Dad was 16. Dad brought her up as if his own kid.
After the burial in cemetery , grandma came & hugged me. Mom was the only child she had left & Mom was her oldest child whom she cherished the most.
Soon the only person in front of my parents grave was me. I placed the flowers on the headstones & knelt down , ignoring the wet grass.
My lips moved just above a whisper "I miss you , Mom & Dad"
"If only you were here"
"I had alot to tell you Mom & Dad , about my first tour without you guys!"
"Who'll ask me alot of questions over breakfast & dinner?"
I said , hysteria building in my voice
The rain has stopped & tears kept running down my face
"Eloise , let's go" Aunt Chelsea called because she knew if we stayed here for a second , we'll loose all of the water we have in our bodies.
Trudging my feets in the wet grass , I turned the corner & whispered
"GOOD-BYE , Mom & Dad! I'll miss you guys"
