Chapter 22 - Love Will Thaw

Kristoph and Sven were running through the storm, trying to make sense of their surroundings.

" Come on buddy, come on!" Sven sped up as a ship began to move, cracking the ice and Sven jumped over the blocks with ease.

The Fire Queen was flying at full speed against the wind, other dragons flying behind her.

She needed to get to her son, he was in trouble and needed her.

Below the ice, the Bewilder King and tidal dragons we're swimming alongside him, the King hoped they weren't too late to save his son.

Hiccup was stumbling forward slowly, his legs were beginning to weaken.

He looked down at his hands and saw them freezing over, Toothless warbled in a worried tone.

" I'm alright bud, we just have to keep going." He said as they walked further into the storm.

~ Line Break ~

Anna had finally caught Olaf and was making her way across the fjord, holding the snowman tight so he wouldn't blow away.

Anna hoped she could find Kristoph and tell him how she felt, she did know one thing love was the only thing that fixed problems.

" Keep going girl, we just need to find Hiccup and Kristoph!" Stormfly cawed in response and continued walking through the storm.

Kristoph and Sven ran past a ship as it fell over, it's contents spilling onto the fjord.

The two of them dodged the falling objects and ran to the other side, the ship landed on the ice and the surface began to crack.

The crack ran alongside them as the ice in front of them parted into chunks, Sven sped up ready to jump.

He rocketed off the edge and flung Kristoph over the other side landing in the freezing water.

Kristoph got up and turned around, hoping to see his friend break the surface of the water.

" Sven! " The reindeer broke the surface of the water and hurled himself onto a chunk of ice.

He snorted at his friend to keep going, Kristoph smiled at his friend.

" Good boy," Kristoph told him and took off in the other direction trying to find Anna.

Hiccup couldn't go on any longer, his clothing was starting to freeze and his hair was ivory white.

His legs gave way and he collapsed onto Toothless who helped him continue walking.

" Elsa, mum?" He whispered under his breath too weak to shout, Toothless saw his rider and roared trying to attract anyone nearby.

Not too far away the Fire Queen heard the call and flew to it with the dragons following, she wasn't going to let her son die alone.

Anna and Kristoph both heard the roar and ran to it, knowing it was Toothless.

They saw the black figure only just visible through the whiteout.

Elsa was standing alone on the fjord trying to figure out where she was, she turned to see Hans coming up behind her and she started to run.
