KHEL'S POV
God didn't answer my question. Does that mean He's not real? Well, I thought so.
Kinabukasan, maaga akong pumasok sa trabaho. Wearing my full attire, I entered the cafe. Wala pang customers, as usual.
Maya-maya'y nadatnan kong nag-uusap ang mga ka-workmates ko sa tapat ng counter, mukhang may hot topic sila. I don't want to get involved with their small talks, so I was about to ignore them, pero tinawag ako ng isa sa kanila.
"Uy, sakto! Nand'yan na si Khel," ani Hiro.
Kumaway naman si Liana. "Morning! Halika! Sama ka sa usapan namin."
"Um..."
I was about to say no, but Jun pulled my arm towards their direction. "Tara, h'wag ka nang mahiya!"
And so, wala na 'kong nagawa. Nakisali ako sa circle of forum nila habang nakatayo sa harap ng counter.
They're talking about these cute sized keychain items na binili kuno nila sa tabi-tabi, at nakalapag ang mga 'to sa ibabaw ng counter. Those items have different designs like animals and such.
Their topic is nonsense and I almost yawn while listening to their blabbering mouths. I never speak. Para lang akong estatwa na nakikinig sa kanilang usapan.
But suddenly, Liana talked to me. "Ano sa tingin mo, Khel? Anong mas magandang keychain, ito kayang lion o itong lamb?"
And she showed me two cute keychains; one's a lion and one's a lamb.
Kumunot ang noo ko. I literally have no answer for that. At saka bakit ako ang tinatanong n'ya?
"Either," walang ganang sagot ko.
Napanguso si Liana, disappointed, at tumawa naman ang mga ka-workmates namin. Yet, my blank face never change a bit.
10:07 am, time goes on.
Eventually, the customers came entering our establishment. After awhile, the whole cafe was occupied by dozens of crowd. Mostly are couples and some are group of teenagers. More importantly, the seats and tables were filled with guests. Dahil dito, naging busy na kaming mga empleyado upang asikasuhin ang mga tao.
I walk across the room and between seats. Then I stopped on a specific table to serve the dine.
"Here's your order, sir, one plate of fries and caramel frappe." Then I gently put the orders on the table's surface.
