Chapter Twenty-Three: Promise

Lincoln

Sienna is incredible at many things, sex being at the top of that list, but after two weeks of taking her business classes, I'm determined to say that teaching might just take its place.

She is knowledgeable about everything. If I had a question, she had an answer. I asked her about SWOT analysis and what it meant during our first session, and she explained one acronym at a time, going into detail about how each specific one pertained to her business and why. She never made me feel dumb, never made me feel like less of a man, but instead, she took her time, and despite how much I thought I hated business, she's beginning to make me love it.

I've gotten to know her a lot better too. During study breaks, we'd have lunch, and she'd tell me about her favorite TV show, The Bachelor, explaining who got eliminated that week when I'd never watched a single episode, or her favorite food, which I quickly learned was sweet and sour chicken.

And the craziest thing about spending time with Sienna is that I want to be around her without sex involved. She had one stipulation with these tutoring sessions: no sex because it would distract me. At first, I loathed the thought of having to sit through sixty minutes of boring business talk, but after our first session, I started to find intimacy with her in other ways than sex.

Laughing over a stupid mistake I made together, sharing a bite of Chinese from her favorite spot down the street from her office building, and an award-winning smile when I answered a question correctly. It's the little things that I'm infatuated with now.

"Components of a business plan. Go," Sienna instructs with a wave of her hand as she scans over paperwork sprawled out on her desk. She tends to do this when she's running behind, juggling two things at once. I don't know how she does it.

I sit up straighter in the chair opposite her desk and clear my throat, rolling them off my tongue like they're embedded in my brain at this point. "Mission statement, company background, product description, marketing plan, competitor and SWOT analysis, operations, financial planning, and timeline."

She nods, deep in thought as she reads the paper, then glances up at me. "Good. We've been going over all of these in-depth the past couple of weeks, and I think you're ready."

"Ready to what?"

She smirks. "To pitch me your business plan for Nash Enterprises. You'll have time to prepare of course. A week."

"A week," I deadpan. "A week to get the whole thing together?"

She rolls her eyes. "Fine. Two weeks."

"We have so much going on in the next few weeks though," I reply, whining like a toddler. "I already have to sit through another lame-ass meeting with fucking Reed about the progress on the hotels. Isn't that punishment enough? Extend it a week. Give me three."

Sienna leans back in her chair and stretches, her arms above her head as her shirt comes up to reveal part of her toned torso. I rake my eyes down her body before she notices, groaning internally from the need I have for her. We haven't done anything sexual since the night of my mother's dinner, partly because we've been so busy, but it's bound to happen soon. I can feel the gravitational pull whenever I'm near her, and it's beginning to become unbearable during these hour-long tutoring sessions.

"You need to have it ready in two, Lincoln. Do you remember how the first meeting went? You were unprepared, and I don't blame you for it because I know you still have a lot to learn, but in order to gain their respect, you need to know what you're talking about."
