Clarissa's POV:

I ran out of that room as fast as I could. Vampires disgust me.
Not to be like mean or over exaggerating, I mean think about it their kind killed my family.



I ran down the hallways and was screaming for Cassidy, probably not the smartest choice.
And this is why.

Two men that were like a foot taller than me started running at me.


"oh shoot"

They grabbed my arms and before they could drag me somewhere I flipped one over my shoulder and then did the same to the other.

"How are you so strong?" one asked rubbing his back.

I ran away from them and screamed
"Its Called Skill!"

I ran to where I thought Cassidy would be.


The dungeon cells.


Every time a vampire would try and stop me I would knock him unconscious.

Not with my powers of course.
That would be plain stupid.

I used pressure points.
Gotta love those.

I finally reached a cell and heard quiet crying inside of it.

I was so angry that I kicked the metal door down With my foot.

Cassidy's little head turned and she started crying more and ran into my arms.

"Mommy" Cassidy cried clinging onto me.

I picked her up and let her cry in my shoulder.

I could feel my eyes shift blue.
It happens when I use my main powers and when I get angry.
And sometimes my anger mashes with my powers and I lose control.
But that hasn't happened since my family died.

Right now though, I was angry.
Very angry.


"Cass hold on tight" I told her while shifting her onto my back, like a piggy back ride.

She wrapped her arms and legs around me.

I ran as fast as I could up the stairs and into the dining room.

One guy came running at me and I swung my elbow back and hit him in the face.
He fell to the floor With blood gushing out of his face.

"You stay away from me!" I screamed at him.

I ran to these two giant doors about to escape, but of course I didn't.

The doors were locked.
I tried pushing on it, but it was no use.

I smiled maybe I could use a little bit of my-

"Stop right there!"someone shouted.
My hand stopped halfway.
I smiled and turned around.
"Cameron," I said then looked at the 20 other vampires surrounding him.
I smirked "and I thought I would never have to see any of your faces again. But sadly no. That's not the case."


Cameron smiled "ah, arrogant and stubborn. Now I see why Aspens acting like he is."

"Oh please. You think that's all there is to me don't you. Well just you wait.
I'm gonna show you something you didn't think even existed.... When the time is right." I told them coldly.

"Now! take me away boys!" I shouted lifting my arms in the air.

Two men suddenly emerged from the twenty vampires and grabbed each of my arms.

"I swear if you lay one hand on Cassidy though, I will make sure you have the most painful death." I whispered to the two men.
They both nodded their heads frantically.
I smiled, good.

While we were walking away, well more like them dragging me away because I didn't feel like walking.
I caught Cameron's sons eye.
I think his name Is Aspen, I don't know.

I glared at him and looked behind me at Cassidy. She was silently crying.
I frowned and my anger refueled.
She just does that to me when she cries.

"Stop!!" I shouted my voice ringing with authority.
The two men stopped and every vampire was now looking at me.

I ripped my arms away from the two men and grabbed Cassidy off of my back.

I set her on the ground and kneel down.

"What's wrong Cassidy?" I ask quietly.

"I-I d-don't want to go b-back there" she says between sobs.

"It's okay you don't have to go back" I say running my hand up and down her back.

I stand up.

"You!" I shout pointing at an older lady in the front.
She Points at herself and I nod.
She walks up to me.

"Get her a room and watch her" I say sternly.

She looks at me like I'm crazy
"Now!" I shout.
Oops I think I used too much authority because a couple vampires bow their heads to me.

The woman takes Cassidy and walks up the stairs with her.

I smile "now. Cameron why don't we all go to the dining room and talk about few things. By the way that's not a question its a command. I have a feeling you want to discuss a few things too am I correct?" I say.

I watch as Cameron slowly nods his head. "good" I say.

I lead everyone into the dining room and we all sit down.
No body speaks though, everyone just looks at me and (Lord) Cameron, as we sit across from each other.

I place my hands in my lap.
"Lets talk" I say.

Cameron nods and leans forward slightly in his chair.

"Well your probably wondering why we haven't killed you yet. And the reason is because your my sons beloved" he says.

I look over at Aspen who
Is smirking at me.
What does he think I'm just the luckiest girl in the world to end up with him. Definitely not true.

I can already tell that he's a player.
Which doesn't surprise me.
I mean come on good looking guy and a son of a lord.
Who couldn't resist? *note the sarcasm*

"No I'm not" I say.

Aspens smirk immediately drops.
"Yes you are." he says.

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Enough!" Cameron shouts slamming his fist on the table.

"You two are soul mates no matter what. You can't change that." Cameron's wife says calmly, unlike her husband.

I slump in my chair and grumble incoherent words.

"You should just let me leave,"
I say quietly.

After a few seconds I jump up from my seat "oh my gosh you should really let me go" I say heading to the door.
But I'm stopped and dragged back by two vampires.

"Ugh" I say in frustration.
They drop me on my chair quite harshly.

"Easy there violent" I say.



"And why must you leave Miss Taylor?" Cameron asked staring deeply into my eyes.

"Because I-" but I'm cut off by a loud bang and a door opening.

"Lord Cameron, we're being attacked!" the man says.

Everyone stands up.

"By who?" I ask.

"By the Black Star pack"


Oh great werewolves. And to top that off they're the strongest pack in the country.

This is why I should have left.

Ya it's a little confusing but it will make more sense soon.

So it's getting harder and harder for Clarissa to keep her powers a secret from the Vamps.

And why is a werewolf pack attacking?
What do they want?
