Chapter 14:

Chapter 14:


I never knew how hard it would be to train vampires.
And I never knew how hard it would be to train vampires that suck at fighting, until today.


After our long day of training I finally managed to show them the quickest way to kill a werwolf and some basic stuff.

I am so tired. Think about it I just had to train.. like 83 vampires.




"Hey do you wanna watch a movie?" Aspen asks as I walk inside the castle.

I stare at him like he's grown three heads. "You want to watch a movie?" I ask unbelievably.

He nods his head and sits down on the couch patting the spot next to him.

Too tired to argue I walk over and plop myself down next to him.

"What movie?" he asks.

I smile "The Conjuring. Its my favorite."

He looks at me strangely for a moment before standing up and putting the movie in.

"You don't look like one for horror movies. If you get scared you can hold my hand. Or hide behind me." he says smirking and sitting back down.

"Pfft. You wish." I said crossing my arms over my chest.

I turned my attention to the flatscreen tv just in time to see the movie start.

I smile and get into a comfortable position.


*30 minutes later*

3 of Aspens guy friends joined us a little while after the movie started.
It was cool, I learned that their names were Jace, Shane, and Max who I still don't like.

Five minutes after they sat down Jace was whining about being hungry. Yep, Jace was the fun one.
Thats why we are now friends.

"Shaaaaane, Will you Pleeeaase go get me some popcorn" Jace said looking at Shane with puppy dog eyes.

"No" he said, his eyes not leaving the tv.

Jace sighed dramatically and went to make popcorn.



He came back five minutes later with a bowl of hot popcorn, and sat down.

We then all continued to watch the movie.






"Ahhhh!" Jace screamed throwing the popcorn in the air and covering his eyes.

I laughed at his reaction to the hands clapping underneath the stairs.

I looked over at Max and saw that the popcorn bowl had landed on his head.

That only made me laugh harder and Max frown.




As we got more into the movie it started to get scarier, and Max, Shane, and Aspen started jumping at the tiniest things.

Jace was already on the couch beside me, hiding behind my arm.

I laughed at all the boys. It was funny to see them scared.

Then a plan came to my mind, it was a perfect idea.

I leaned over to my right and whispered in Jace's ear.

"You wanna have some fun with Aspen, Max, and Shane?"

I pulled away and saw an evil grin on his face as he nodded his head.

We both silently got up and walked out of the room. The other boys didn't even notice though, they were too engrossed in the movie.

"So what's the plan?" Jace whispers.

"Okay your going to go behind the couch with Shane And Max, and I'm gonna go behind the couch Aspen Is sitting on. When I give you the signal we.. well.. I don't know grab them or shake them, you know what I mean." I whisper back to him.

He nods and we both tip- toe back to the room.

I crawl behind the couch and wait for Jace to get behind the other.

I put my finger up showing him our count down.

2..
1.

We both jump up and I wrap my arms around Aspen neck and scream "ah!" he screams as well and falls off the couch scrambling To his feet.

I look over and see Max And Shane on the ground looking scared and confused.

I couldn't help it, I fell to the floor laughing, tears streaming down my face.

I can't remember the last time I laughed.

I finally stand up only chuckling here and there.

I look over at Jace and high five him.
"We make a great team" I say pointing to him and I.

I look back at Aspen to see him breathing heavily and looking flustered.

I tried to hold in the laughter but it just all came out and I clutched my stomach as it began to hurt.
His face was priceless.

Before I know what's happening I'm swooped into the arms of someone.
I open my eyes and see Aspen smirking down at me.

"Hey!" I protest.

"Alright guys I think we've had enough fun for one night. Why don't we go to bed." he says over to the guys as he carries me bridal style up the stairs.

"Night boys!" I scream louder then I should have, which earns me a hand over my mouth.

Aspen slowly takes his hand away staring at me like I'm crazy.

"Sorry" I whisper.

He chuckles and walks into his room.

"Okay I'll sleep on that couch over there and you can sleep on my bed."
He says quietly.

I nod sleepily.

"Can you give me something to where to sleep?" I ask him closing my eyes briefly.

Before I have the chance to open my eyes I feel a shirt hit my face.

I catch it in my hands and look up at a chuckling Aspen.

"Rude" I simply say.

I slip off my clothes and throw on the t-shirt that drops mid thigh.

Once I'm done I climb under the covers and close my eyes.

I here shuffling around the room and pillows being shifted.

"Goodnight Clarissa" I hear Aspen say from across the room.

I open my eyes "Night Aspen" I say back,

Closing my eyes once again I drift off into dream world.












(Clarissa dreams about her father chasing her. And her family members deaths.)



I jolt awake from my sleep, screaming my head off.

"Clarissa . . . Clarissa it's okay." I hear Aspen say soothingly as he rushes over to me.

I shake my head no as tears pour out of my eyes.

"No it's not okay." I whimper.

I place my head in my hands as my body shakes with sobs.

I feel Aspen cautiously put his hand on my back, scared I might push him away or blow up.

I can't take it anymore, I can't fight the fate's. Can't fight my feelings.



I fling myself at Aspen and cry loudly into his chest.

He seems to relax and wraps his arms around my body.

He scoots back to the headboard and leans against it, and then he picks me up and sets me onto his lap.

Aspen Cradles me, and at the same time whispers sweet nothing's into my ear .

Why didn't I want this?
Why didn't I realize my feelings for Aspen before?

Why?

Oh yeah, I remember.

It's because I don't get a happy ending. Thats not why I'm here.

I can't have this life.

I already know my ending, I just haven't told anyone what it is.

That's why I was confused as to why the Fates gave me a soul mate.

When I knew my fate,

Was


Death.

So yeah.


This is not anywhere near the ending by the way.


And for all of those worried people,

IM NOT GOING TO JUST KILL CLARISSA!

Trust me she has a lot more adventures ahead of her.

But her fate is death.

That doesn't mean she is going to die.
