Gwen POV

A sad silence overtook the group once Strange finished his words. 'Only one!' Out of millions! we only win one! Gwen was beginning to feel extremely uneasy.

Stark had begun explaining the plan, he had made, asking Dr. Strange for help every once in a while.

It was simple in theory, surprise Thanos, have most of us hold him down, Peter and Stark then take off the golden mitten.

Peter and Gwen moved to their hiding spot, a large piece of floating debris, hovering over Dr. Strange.

"Gwen?"

"Yeah Pete?"

"This is 100% not how I expected this day to go"

Gwen chuckled, at least Peter was still making jokes "Me neither, but hey we're avengers now! and in space! and facing the most powerful, oversized grape in the universe!"

Now it was Peter's turn to laugh "Well in all seriousness, Gwen I really like having you as a friend, so if this all goes badly I just wanna say thank you"

His voice got softer towards the end. Peter's words brought Gwen into reality if their situation, they were in space, about to face the most powerful Titan in existence.

Gwen just hugged Peter tightly ad then turned to watch Dr. Strange.

-LINE BREAK-

Gwen and Peter only had to wait a few minutes before a blue portal opened in front of Strange.

Out came a large purple man, bigger than the Hulk. He stared at the ruins of the donut ship.

Dr. Strange announced his presence. "Oh, yeah, you're much more of a 'Thanos'"

"I take it the Maw is dead. This day extracts a heavy toll. Still, he accomplished his mission."

"You may regret that. He brought you face-to-face with the Master of the Mystic Arts."

"And where do you think he brought you?" Gwen saw Star-Lord ready his blasters, She and Peter crawl a bit higher.

"Let me guess. Your home?"

Thanos smiled (it was scary) "It was. And it was beautiful." Thanos closes his fist and activates a crimson stone, which showed the planet before it was destroyed -- green lawns, intact buildings, water-filled ponds, strolling citizens, star-shaped structures floating and connected to the ground  "Titan was like most planets. Too many mouths, and not enough to go around. And when we faced extinction, I offered a solution."

"Genocide." Dr. Strange said in disgust.

"But at random, dispassionate, fair to rich and poor alike. They called me a madman. And what I predicted came to pass." he stops the illusion.

"Congratulations. You're a prophet."

"I'm a survivor."

"A survivor who wants to murder trillions."

"With all six stones, I could simply snap my fingers, and they would all cease to exist. I call that... mercy." Thanos seemed to be getting frustrated.

"Then what?"

"I finally rest... and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe. The hardest choices require the strongest wills"

Dr. Strange enters a fighting stance, readying a magical weapon "I think... you'll find... our will... equal to yours."

Thanos catches the wording "Ours?" Thanos was then hit with a large chunk of rock, propelled by Iron Man. Gwen and Peter silently pumped their fists in celebration.
