Good Captain...Bad Captain: Chapter 12

Let's get started!

 Tony POV

Tony sighed, their time was almost up, the power had been deactivated in every system besides Peter and Gwen's life support, and the oxygen pumps. It was day 22 he had gone for 4 days without food and Tony could only remember one time he was hungrier than this: Afghanistan. But even then it never seemed as hopeless as it did right now. 

At least in Afghanistan, he didn't have to worry about two teens on life support, teens that despite his best efforts had wormed their way into his heart. In Afghanistan, he didn't need to worry about the Oxygen running low and suffocating in his sleep. 

The situation seemed to get more hopeless each day, and with each recording for Pepper, like the one he had just finished, he seemed to dwell more and more on Peter and Gwen. They were so young, both almost seventeen. And here they were sitting on a spaceship, adrift in space, on life support. 

As the ship's atmosphere began to slowly deteriorate, the gravity on the ship began to lessen. The change had been affecting Gwen and Peter in bad ways, they had both flatlined at least once and to get them back they had to use the defibrillators, which used even more of their limited power.

Tony knew, if this continued for much longer, Gwen and Peter were never going to wake up, but he hoped that their being in a coma will give them a peaceful death. Nebula and himself will have to endure the discomfort that comes with suffocation, they will just be asleep.

Tony must have dozed off because he suddenly was awoken by a bluish light. Looking out the cockpit window, he sees a woman with long blond hair, in a red and blue suit with a golden star insignia hovering in front of the ship.                               

Tony just rolls his eyes, he's seen weirder. 

"Ready to go home Iron Man?" The woman questions.

"That would be greatly appreciated, I would also appreciate knowing your name." 

She smirks at his attitude, "My name is Carol Danvers or Captain Marvel",

"Oh great another Captain" Tony sarcastically mutters. 

"We have to people aboard both in critical condition and on life support, be careful Captain" 

Carol nods and flies below the ship. Suddenly they were rushing through space at speeds he couldn't comprehend. 

He then feels a strange pressure on his chest and everything goes black.

-LINE BREAK-

3rd Person

Captain Marvel placed the Benatar down and rushed to the surviving Avengers. 

"Rogers! I got Stark, he is on that ship with three others. He said two were in critical condition, and all aboard are most likely unconscious because of the rapid atmospheric changes"

Steve nodded, Natasha, Rhodey, Bruce and himself, wheel out four gurneys (wheeled stretcher) out, Carol forces the bay doors open and they rush in. Finding Nebula passed out near Gwen and Peter they put her on a gurney and Bruce wheels her out. Rhodey goes to look for Tony. 

Looking at the two teens and observing their injuries Steve felt sick. "He let kids fight Thanos?"

Natasha nodded "Well based on their injuries they put up one hell of a fight"

Nodding dumbly Steve places Peter on a gurney, careful to not disturb his life support. Then he helps Natasha with Gwen. "I haven't seen that suit before," Natasha says, referring to Gwen's Iron Spider suit "Is she new?"
