Adapting: Chapter 14

Alright, so this is the first chapter that takes place in between Infinity War and Endgame. As there are 5 years in between the two movies there will be some time skips, I am going to try to do about 2-3 chapters per year. Also, Morgan will be introduced! (just not yet!) As none of us really know what happened during the 5 years after the decimation, there is really no information to go off of, so I am going to do my best. LET'S GO!

3rd Person

It had been a month since Peter and Gwen woke up. Tony had helped Peter moved all his stuff from May's apartment to the private home, he had also grabbed May's stuff, and family heirlooms and stuff like that, and places it in storage. Tony had wanted to continue paying for both of their decimated friends' homes, but Pepper had said that it was selfish and that people needed places to go.

 Since they had already taken their end of years tests, Pepper and Tony had decided to take Peter and Gwen out of school early. Summer vacation had just 'officially' started and Pepper and Tony were planning their wedding. 

They had decided to move it up a few weeks, to possibly give people a good thing to talk about. Rhodey was the Best man, Pepper had chosen one of her close friends as the maid of honor. Peter and Gwen were not included in the main wedding party, as they had wanted to not draw attention to themselves, so they were going to just be sitting towards the front. 

The wedding was a week away, the clothes had been purchased, the location rented and the decorations picked. Over half the invited guests were not coming, for obvious reasons (they got dusted) and the remaining Avengers were also not attending, they were too busy. 

"Pep...how about we give this a rest...okay? We've got it all down, and you look exhausted"

Pepper sighed and rubbed her eyes "You right, your right. It's, It's just that I want this to be perfect...well I feel like every woman would want their wedding to be perfect, but I need this to be perfect, for everyone's sake. We need some happiness to be brought into the world, especially now" 

Tony looked over to the living room, Peter and Gwen were playing some videogame, laughing and playfully shoving each other every once in a while. 

Tony couldn't help but smile "Well Pep, If you need to smile, just look over there" 

Pepper looked over and saw the two teens, and smiled as well. "They just find any reason to be happy, Peter has pretty much lost everyone, and yet all it takes is some time with Gwen and he's all smiles" 

Pepper sighed "Alright...I'm gonna take a small nap, could you get me some ice cream?"

'She's eating so much ice cream, one could joke they're pregnancy cravings! wait...are they? no...no, they can't...right?'

(A/N I gotta get Morgan into the story somehow)

'No...no not possible...at all, right? right.' 

After taking one last glance at Peter and Gwen, Tony went into the kitchen, hoping they had some ice cream in the fridge. 

He suddenly heard a banshee-like scream "TONY!!"

-LINE BREAK-

It was the day of the wedding, Pepper was currently 5 weeks along, turns out Pepper was pregnant. Emotions were everywhere, Tony was nervous, so was Pepper, both for the same reasons, 'Oh my God, I'm getting married! and having a kid...a kid!'.

Peter and Gwen were ecstatic at the news, both looking forward to spoiling the little Stark. 

Currently, everyone was waiting for the bride to appear and walk down the aisle. Peter and Gwen were in the front row, whispering in excitement, neither of them seemed to realize how close they were, or that they were holding hands, but Tony who was standing in the front did, and a little smile escaped from his otherwise, worried expression.
