Alex's POV

Perrie was quite possibly the most perfect girl for Zayn, sure I thought that me and him were a match made in heaven. But Perrie and Zayn were the true star crossed lovers that were destined to be with each other, I would weird of me to think that already after I had just met her and seen Zayn after about one and a half years. However, just seeing them sitting beside each other on the couch curled up against each other made me smile warmly at them.

It made me so happy to see that everyone was happy, but I couldn't help but think of the events for our girls night out. I wondered if I would screw everything up just like I usually did, or I would make a very good impression on myself. I would make Perrie and Sophia know me even more than what they've heard, and I would be able to know them as well. I would try to act normal, I would be in control of my mind and not let anything set me off.

I gave a quick glance to them from he kitchen, I was helping Sophia with the construction of a large dinner. She had forbade anyone to eat a particularly large lunch so that they could make room for the large helping dinner would provide. It felt nice to actually be doing something nice for a change, I smiled as I helped prepare the sweet corn.

"What ever is in here smells absolutely amazing, you didn't order out did you?"

I jab Harry in the arm with the handle of the plastic spoon I held, he cried out but laughed afterwords as he rubbed his arm. He pecked my cheek before grabbing a different spoon, plunging it into the dish and taking a large helping.

"This taste's amazing, keep up the good work!" He smiled.

"Get out of here, stop eating most of the food. Just for that you'll get less of a helping than everyone else." I scolded lightly.

"What? That is so unfair." He smiled with raised eyebrows.

"No it isn't, you've already eaten a part of your original helping of sweet corn. It's fair that you get the rest of your helping instead of taking away from anyone else." I chuckled placing a lid over the top of the container and pushing it away from him.

"Wise, but still very rude." He mumbled shuffling closer to me.

"I'll show you rude in a minute." I smiled as he wrapped his arms around me from behind me and rested his head on my shoulder.

"Is that a threat?" He laughed.

"Nope, it's a promise." He simply pecked my cheek in response and gave me a tight squeeze, he sighed happily before just holding me there in his embrace.

"What's this all about? I've got to help Sophia you know, she can't cook for the nine of us." I spoke wriggling like a worm in his grasp.

"Just wanted to hold you for a minute, I didn't really get to do that much with everyone all over you. I never really got a chance to be fully alone with you, minus the car ride over here." He mumbled sadly. It was very true, everyone had been asking me about how I was doing. What were my plans once I was going to be settled here in Cali, if I wanted to do anything with my life besides just sitting in a flat waiting for my Boyfriend to return from his world wide tour.

I never had one alone moment with him minus the car ride, I never really had a silent moment to just sit with him and tell him how I was feeling about everything. To talk to him about the plans I had for myself, to ask about the jobs that he had gotten available for me. Or where my apartment was to be located, even when he had given me the ring Niall was behind us and doing my hair. I turned to face him and I cupped his cheeks in my hands, we smiled at each other before I pecked his lips and wrapped my arms around his neck to hug him.

"You know I love you more than anything right?" He asked and I nodded as I laughed shyly.

"You told me countless times in your letters." I answered.
