Magnus
꧁__________________________꧂

One week. It would have been the best week of Magnus' life if it wasn't for their Honeymoon, that couldn't be topped. The amount of dopamine he had felt there could have been considered unhealthy.

Being a warlock who was alive for a long time – no one truly knows how long – and seeing something as the best, or in the top list, of one's life, was a big deal.

"Why are you smiling so much? It's getting creepy."

Magnus chuckled as he said it because obviously, it wasn't creepy

Magnus chuckled as he said it because obviously, it wasn't creepy. The fact that his husband was beaming from ear to ear, just added up to his never-ending happiness.

Of course, the last week had also been filled with lots of worries, because Magnus had finally gotten the appointment for the Spiral Labyrinth confirmed. But seeing his son squeal, witch and call him bapak, made it all faint in the background.

However, today was the day and Magnus and Alec couldn't ignore it anymore. The fact, that Alec was smiling so much showed Magnus that his husband had supplanted the unsettling appointment as well.

"I'm not allowed to be happy?" the Shadowhunter replied, picking their baby out of the air and turning him upside down to make him giggle.

"Of course you are, I'm joking, you know that I love that smile." The warlock quickly said and leaned forward to get a kiss. Max clapped with his tiny hands, making blue sparks appear. He always did that when Malec shared a kiss, if you asked Magnus, it was the most adorable thing to ever exist.

"So, not to ruin the mood but we have to leave in about an hour." The look Alec gave Magnus showed him that his beautiful Hunter had indeed forgotten or displaced the memory of the appointment.

"Go? Go where?"

"Where?" Max repeated, still hanging upside down from his Daddy's arm. He made a small movement with his hands and moved upright so that he could hover onto Alec's shoulders.

"Spiral Labyrinth, that means, if it's not going to rain today." Magnus reminded him with a sigh, the he looked at Max. "They want to meet you and check your powers."

Max let his head fall to the side and gave his Bapak a confused look. Magnus pointed to his hands which were still sparkling blue. Max looked down at them and then back up. "Pwowers?"

"Well, you're special, Sweet Pea." The Warlock caressed his son's cheek and made him giggle.

"I forgot," Alec said with a shocked gaze. It seemed like the fact that their kid wasn't anything usually existent on this earth had just hit him again with full force.

"It's gonna be fine," Magnus said determined, more to calm himself than his family.

They had finally agreed to not lie to the Warlocks, Magnus had had to admit that it was probably the bigger risk. By telling the truth about Max, they at least had a chance. Especially because some of his old friends were in the circle who would hopefully help him.
