Magnus
꧁__________________________꧂

Magnus Lightwood-Bane was a patient man. When you've lived for over 400 years, you know that it's better to take your time and that impatience is something unnecessarily stressful. However, Magnus sometimes found himself slipping back into this old behaviour.

The ancient and elegant clock on the wall told him, that his husband was over one hour late by now.

If they were mundanes, he would just brush it off as stuck in traffic. But in the Shadowworld, there was no such thing, so being one hour late meant attacked, injured or dead.

He shivered, he shouldn't think those painful thoughts. The Warlock send another message to his husband and stared at his phone for the next ten minutes.

Why had he even taken the effort to cook? The food was cold and the candles he had lit almost burned down.

He couldn't help himself from feeling upset, just as he had been all week. His husband worked endless hours lately, not his fault of course.

He wasn't exactly upset about Alec, more about the clave for taking him so much from him. He had to admit that he never felt complete when Alec wasn't with him.

Magnus sometimes got overwhelmed by how much he needed his Alexander. It probably wasn't healthy and that's why he had tried  for so long to lock himself off from feeling anything but opening himself up for Alec had been the best decision he had ever made.

Dependant or not, their life was intoxicating, all in all.

"It's my shoulder.. not my legs Iz! I can walk myself!" He heard Alec's voice in the hallway and jumped up to open the door for him and his sister. The love of his life sounded exhausted, hurt, puzzled.

"Alexander.." He opened the door and caught Alec in his arms, who must have leaned against it.

"Yes dumbass, your shoulder but it lays your system flat!" His sister said and chuckled when she saw Magnus catch him. "Demon bite" She explained briefly and looked pitfull at her brother. "I'm sure you can fix him and we will all meet up tomorrow to collect informations about the baby." She added and looked at Magnus at if he would understand. She winked and vanished before he could ask.

"Oh what did you do darling?" He said concerned and pulled Alec inside. He helped him to the sofa and made him lay down.

"Demons.." Alec mumbled and gave him a smile, which looked drugged. "Hello georgous.." he added and giggled.

"Maybe I should inject you with venom sometimes so you flirt more with me." Magnus teased and left for a few seconds, just to return with a paste. He pulled Alec's ripped shirt off and gently put the cold substance on his bite.

He wasn't the healing expert, his friend Catarina Loss was, but he had the supplies needed to treat the most common wounds Shadowhunters got.

Alec hummed satisfied and the dizziness slowly wore off him. He sat up a little and leaned against a big pillow. "I would have said the same without being poisoned, what? I can't be romantic when I'm sober?"

Magnus gave him a warm smile and felt relieved to see him in one piece and finally have him home. He leaned forward to catch a kiss, one which was long necessary.
