Corpse's Perspective ~

I take one last look in the mirror, triple checking myself to make sure I look good enough to be side by side with Y/N.

Not too bad.

I tried to find something a bit more sophisticated for this occasion, because it's special to me, and I want it to be perfect for her.

I look at my white long sleeved shirt, my ringed fingers, and my tight black jeans. Overall, the combination looks pretty good, and I try to avoid my face as I ruffle up my hair, and walk out the house.

Locking the door behind me, I try to pretend I'm not nervous as I trudge across the pitch-black path to Y/N's house. I knock on her door, and hear the chain and lock move on the other side.

Y/N steps out, wearing a gorgeous, knee length, black dress, with matching flat trainers which surprisingly go so well together. (I would never fucking wear a dress but I can't think of anything else so we're just gonna vibe with that - imagine whatever you want!)

She has her hair curled in beach waves, and more makeup than usual. (If you don't want to wear makeup, that's fine, just imagine it however you'd like to! <3) I can't help but notice the trailing silver necklaces that drape down her neck, and her dainty fingers which have multiple thin rings on them.

"Wow-" I say, literally gobsmacked. "You look like a goddess, Y/N."

Smiling, I notice the blush creep onto her cheeks as she looks me up and down, replying, "You look so handsome, too, C/N."

Delving into my pocket, I fumble nervously with the small, velvet box, and smile up at Y/N as she steps out of her house, locking the door behind her.

I wrap my arm around her waist tenderly, and she wraps her arm around my own, our fingers intertwining tightly as I lead her to the surprise.

We walk deeper down our lane, and after a while of walking I stop outside a metal gate. I turn to face Y/N as I see her frown in response, tilting her head at me against the  moonlight.

I take her hand, opening the metal gate and closing it behind us. I grin as I lead her up a grassy hill.

"Close your eyes." I whisper, and I see her tense up and clench my hand tighter as her beautiful eyes flutter closed.

Situated at the top of the hill is a large comfy picnic blanket, scattered with lots of cake, sweets, and cookies laying on bright plates. All of this is lit up with three candles and a rustic lantern, which lay on the grass to the side of the blanket.

I smile and tell Y/N to open her eyes, and I see her jaw drop as she sets her gaze upon the setting. She slaps her hands to her mouth, and jumps excitedly. She throws her arms across my neck, and kisses me, pushing me back a bit too hard.

I lose my footing, winding myself against the grass as Y/N falls on top of me, our lips still attached. I chuckle against her, and bring an arm up to her waist, stroking the soft material of her dress.

She straddles my waist as she sits up and gazes down at me. I try to fight the feeling of butterflies swarming throughout my entire body, and I blush.

"Thank you so much, C/N." She smiles down at me.

"Can I... get up now?" I raise an eyebrow, and Y/N grins, striding off me so I can sit up.

We move across to sit together on the picnic blanket, and she leans her head against my shoulder, playing with my rings and my fingers whilst gazing into the glittering starry sky.

Leaning my head against hers. Feeling her hands against my own. This is where I feel most happy. Most at home. With Y/N.

"Wait-" she says, and I raise an eyebrow, turning to kiss her temple.

"Mhm?" I say, too happy in this moment to speak.

"Where's your favourite ring? You haven't lost it have you?" Y/N says, a serious tone in her voice as she looks up at me, craning her head awkwardly.

I delve into my pocket, and decide now is as good a time as any.

I don't know why I'm stressing about this, it's not even important, but I wanted to give her something special to show my...love...for her.

She moves away a little as I show her the box. I hold out my hand, and she takes the box carefully from my palm.

Opening it carefully, I see her face light up happily against the flickering light of the candles. Her sparkling lips and eyes light up my entire being as I stare at her.

She's so perfect.

"No way-" Y/N says, looking at me. She hold up my favourite ring, which is hooked on a small chain.

"It wouldn't fit your finger, so I thought it could be a necklace." I smile at the look of disbelief and awe on Y/N's face.

"Why?" She asks, moving the chain through her fingers.

"Think of it this way - if you cant have my hand around your neck, at least you have a part of me there." I chuckle.
(Sorry I had to lmao)

A large blush creeps across Y/N's face at that, and I chuckle. I take the chain from her, unclasp it, and hold it in one hand as the other moves her hair swiftly to one side.

I wrap the necklace around her neck, leaning close to her as I clasp it behind her. I kiss her ear, then her lips, as I move her hair back to normal.

"And also maybe because I love you." I say as our lips part.
