Omega waited impatiently for the others to come back. They had left around an hour ago and still hadn't returned. She was supposed to be the getaway flyer; Tech having said she was ready enough to do so. Echo told her to wait for the signal, yet she hadn't received one. Omega picked up Lula, holding her close for comfort. They should have been back by now.

"Maybe they ran into another clone deserter," Omega suggested to the stuffed tooka in her arms. She hoped so anyway.

"Or, they got lost on the way back. It is kinda dark." She glanced out at the darkening sky, her stomach starting to churn.

She waited and waited.

After another hour of nothing but silence, she began to think of all the worse possibilities.

"What if they were captured...or killed." Omega bit her lip. They couldn't be dead. The batch were some of the best soldiers from the GAR.

Omega watched as night fell faster, until it was almost completely dark. When the clouds didn't hide the moon, it's light was the only thing keeping the sky luminous. Omega looked at her comm again. Still no messages.

"Something's wrong, Lula. I think they're in trouble." She gently placed the tooka in the pilot's seat, buckling her in. "I'm going to go find them. Don't worry I'll be back soon. You're on pilot duty now." She patted Lula on the head before grabbing her bow, determined to bring her brothers home.

Omega was able to easily sneak into the Imperial base. Maybe being a kid wasn't so bad after all. Without any idea where to look, she decided to go with the most logical choice. The brig.

She peered out from behind a wall, pulling away just in time as a group of troopers walked by. One of them was holding an all too familiar helmet.

"Crosshair?" Omega whispered sadly as she watched her lost brother continue with the Empire's pawns. Deep down she had hoped that he would have seen her and was secretly on their side, but she knew better than that. He made is choice and so had she, though she wished things were different.

Omega loosely followed the group, deviating from her original plan. If Crosshair was there, then if the batch was captured, he would know about it. They came to stop outside of a room that was heavily locked. It required more than a passcode. Crosshair dismissed four of the six troopers, keeping the other two dressed in black armor near him. He plugged in the authorizations. Omega silently slipped in just as the door shut. Luckily for her, there were empty tubes next to the door. She crouched down beside one of them, peeking out to see what was in the room.

Across from her was a single holding cell. She didn't know why it was secluded from the others, but she didn't care about that. To her horror, Hunter, Echo, Tech and Wrecker were on the other side of the ray shield. Surprisingly, they still had their armor on, though no weapons.

"I'll give you one more chance, Hunter." Crosshair's flat voice broke her out of her trance. "Where's the girl? I won't ask again."

Omega froze. She felt numb as Crosshair spoke.

"Like I said many times before, I'm not telling you," Hunter growled through the barrier, challenging the sniper's order.

"Wrong move, Hunter. We'll find the brat. When she is dying slowly and painfully, she'll have you and your stubbornness to thank." He paused, taking a minute to think to himself, "Actually, she won't get to thank you. Kill them," he spat at the two others with him.

"Wait!" Omega leapt out from behind her hiding spot. She could feel herself trembling as all eyes turned to her.

"Omega?! What are you doing here?" Echo sputtered, pounding his fist on the shield.

Crosshair eyed her with interest and suspicion. She didn't know if it was just her, but she could have sworn she saw his expression soften for a second before returning to it's usual stone cold one.

Omega raised her hands, not taking her gaze off the marksman.

"You want me, right? I'll come with you willingly if you let them go." She briefly glanced at the others, trying to find Tech. He discreetly made a hand gesture to her. Understanding, she brought her attention back to Crosshair.

"Omega, no!" Hunter yelled as Crosshair took a step closer.

He seemed hesitant at first, but slowly started to make his way towards her. The second his guard was down, Omega reached for her bow, aiming for the control panel. She made the shot only moments before she was tackled to the ground. Her head hit the floor, dazing her vision. All she could comprehend were shouts and blaster fire around her. A hand gripped her throat, but she reacted before it could harm her. She grabbed the person's elbow and pushed it back as hard as she could. The hand disappeared and she took the small time slot to scoot back.

Wrecker and Echo had finished with the two troopers who were now sprawled out on the floor. Hunter and Echo were standing right behind Crosshair with guns raised.

"You don't have to do this, Cross," Hunter started, "The Empire is using you. Can't you see that?"

"The Empire is growing more powerful everyday and I'm going to be a part of it," the sniper hissed.

"Then...I'm truly sorry." Hunter pulled the trigger. A blue stun ring engulfed Crosshair as he fell to the ground unconscious.

Omega stared at him. He could have come back with them. He could have changed his mind. Even after being offered a second chance— He could have decided that the Empire wasn't worth all the death and pain, but he chose to stay.

"Omega?" Hunter bent down next to her. "Are you okay?" She saw the intense worry in his eyes. She quickly nodded, causing the tension to die down just a bit.

"I didn't want to see you guys b-be—"

Hunter gently patted her back as he scooped her up into his arms. "I know, but everything will be fine now, thanks to you," he soothed.

"I suggest we leave before it's too late," Tech said, looking up from his datapad.

"Right." Hunter handed her to Wrecker who gave her a comforting hug as he held her close to his chest.

"You did awesome out there, kid," he said proudly as they started their escape.

Once safely on the Marauder, they didn't waste any time leaving. Entering hyperspace was calming after everything that happened. The cockpit was quiet as each member tried to shake off the near death experience.

"What happened?" Omega broke the silence with her question of much needed answers.

Echo sat down, beginning the story. "We were about to leave when Crosshair's squad surprised us. We were outnumbered. I was going to contact you to flee, but he took our comms first and—"

"You wanted me to leave you?" Omega asked with wide hurt eyes.

Hunter jumped in. "If worse came to worse, yes. You heard him, Omega. Once the Kaminoans get what they want, they're going to kill you," he said softly so as not to make the words sound too harsh, which was hard because how could he make the news that she was going to be murdered by the locknecks sound like nothing to worry about.

Omega tensed, focusing on Lula in her lap.

"Seeing how everything worked in our favor, there is a stronger chance that we will never end up in that situation again," Tech interjected, stating the more positive side of the matter.

"You really saved us, Omega. Without you, we would have been killed," Wrecker said with gratitude.

"You would have done the same for me." Omega managed a smile at her brothers.

"Of course we would, that's what family's for," Hunter said, getting up and squatting down to her level. He wrapped his arms around her. Slowly each of the other members, including Tech, did the same.

Omega was surprised by the gesture, but melted into it right away. Between all of them, she had never felt so safe. Her brothers were all she needed in a large unpredictable galaxy.
