Wrecker held Omega close to his chest as they made a break for the ship. Being the smallest wasn't always the best when it came to running with their squad. Omega had been hit with a poisoned dart, though it was more of a graze it still made her feel oozy.

"We're almost there, 'Mega." Wrecker quickly glanced down into his arms. He only received a small nod as Omega tucked her head back into the crook of his neck. He knew that she would be okay once they made it back, but it still pained him to see her in an unwell state. He only hoped that Hunter and Crosshair were giving the bounty hunters what they deserved.

Wrecker was out of breath but relieved when they finally made it to the Marauder. He carefully set Omega down in one of the chairs in the cockpit where Echo and Tech were awaiting them.

"I got her," Tech said, taking over. "Where were you injured, Omega?"

"I'm fine," she mumbled.

Echo appeared at her side with a needle in hand as Tech began to roll up her sleeve. Omega suddenly remembered that she couldn't let them do that. She jumped out of the chair, nearly running into Hunter and Crosshair as they came into the room.

" Watch where you're going, kid." Crosshair jeered, but immediately changed his tone as he saw how panicked she was. " What'd you do to her?" He looked in the direction of the others with daggers in his eyes.

"What happened? I thought you were treating her," Hunter fired at them, as the fresher door slammed shut.

"We were about to, but she got spooked as Tech started to pull her sleeve up and you saw the rest," Echo said back. " She needs to take this medicine before the poison spreads more through her body."

Hunter nodded. He walked over to the fresher, tapping on the door. "Omega? It's just me. Please, you have to let Tech give you the medicine."

"Go away." Her voice called back. Hunter could sense the fear in it. He hated to do so, but he had to for her life's sake. He quietly picked the lock, opening the door.

He found Omega sitting against the wall with tears in her eyes. When she met his gaze she tried to make a bolt for the exit.

"Whoa, not so fast." He caught her by the arm, pulling her back gently.

"I want to go to my room," Omega said through clenched teeth as she tried to peel his fingers off.

"You can...after you get treated."

"I don't need to. I'm fine."

Hunter sighed, keeping a firm grasp on her arm as he led her back to the cockpit. He ignored her pleas which hurt his heart, but he had to get to the bottom of the situation.

"I said I'm fine. I know I'm fine! Trust me!" Omega screamed. She watched as all of the batch's eyes widened at her sudden outburst.

"Omega, you have to tell us what's going on." Echo's face had worry written all over it. "Please. We just want to help you."

Omega looked over her shoulder to see that Crosshair and Wrecker were standing by the exit. She couldn't escape anymore. She guessed it was only a matter of time before they found out anyway. She slowly began to roll her sleeve up (the one Tech was about to roll up before she fled).

"Nala Se performed a lot of experiments on me," she began as everyone's attention was drawn to the scars littered on her forearms. "I was asleep for most of them, but not all."

Omega bit her lip. Floods of flashbacks hit her at once. Needles, white lights and voices shouting at her popped into her head. "Sh-She would sometimes inject small amounts of liquid into me. All I remember was how much it burned. She said it was necessary and that I would be helping my brothers." Omega subconsciously traced her fingers over one scar particularly. That one was from when Nala Se accidentally gave her too much of the substance. She could feel the fire spreading through her. She couldn't breathe normally. Each gasp of air felt like knives slicing through her lungs.

"Omega, you're okay now. Take a deep breath in," Tech's voice instructed. She didn't realize that she was reacting to her past memories. His hand helped guide her to a seat. "You're okay," his voice repeated.

"I'm sorry." Omega wiped at her eyes, refusing to let the tears fall out.

Hunter knelt down beside her as Wrecker and Crosshair moved closer.

"You don't have anything to be sorry about, 'Mega," Wrecker tried to say softly.

"What exactly did the longnecks inject you with?" Crosshair asked with fists balled up at his sides, but he did his best not to show it.

Omega briefly looked at Hunter. " I found out that she was injecting me with small amounts of poison. It was a test to see how I would react to it. I guess they were trying to make some kind of vaccine for it in case the enemy used it on the other clones. I don't know that much about it though. I've gotten used to it, so small doses don't affect me as much anymore."

"Those karking-"

"I'm so sorry they did that to you, Omega. You didn't deserve that," Echo said before Crosshair could start his rant. He knew what it was like more than anyone what it was like to be used as a test subject, but the fact that Omega's choices were taken away from her so young was heartbreaking.

"It doesn't matter now. That was a long time ago," she whispered, "Besides, I have you all now." She looked up, giving them a small smile.

Hunter reached out, pulling her into a comforting hug. " That's right, kid. With us around, you'll never have to worry about the Kaminoans again. I promise," he said, meeting her eyes.

"As do I," Tech agreed.

"Same here," Wrecker chimed in, ruffling her hair.

"If a Kaminoan ever shows their ugly face, I'll blast it right off of them," Crosshair added, causing Omega to giggle. Crosshair almost laughed at her thinking he was joking.

Echo rolled his eyes at the sniper's violent description. "You'll always be safe with us, Omega." He wouldn't let her end up as another experiment as long as he lived.

They all would protect her. No matter the cost.

As someone who lives in the South, it feels wrong to write 'you all' instead of 'y'all'. But I can't imagine the Batch ever saying y'all, especially Tech or Crosshair XD
