     Omega's eyelids were heavy as she groggily sat up. Her neck was stiff from sleeping in the chair, now putting her in a bad mood. The sun was just beginning to fill the small room. Omega set her foot down, wincing at the sharp pain coming from her leg. Ignoring the pressure she carefully climbed down the ladder. To her surprise everyone was gone. She wondered where they had all gone since it was still pretty early. Omega shrugged her shoulders, wandering into the cockpit. She made herself comfortable, watching the sunrise. It felt empty without Hunter being there with her. It had been their "thing" since she joined the Bad Batch. Not a morning went by that they hadn't watched the sun or suns come up from the horizon. Omega swallowed the lump in her throat as the memories of the previous night played back in her head. What she had done was stupid and she knew that Hunter was just worried about her, as always. She guessed he had every right to be angry at her. If it wasn't for Wrecker saving her at the last minute she would most likely not be sitting on the Marauder. Hunter focused on protecting her, but she gave him reasons to. Omega wiped at her eyes. She had been so awful to him when he was only trying to look out for her.

"You're not my dad, you know!"

In reality, Hunter was the closest thing she ever had to one. The thought of parents intrigued her. Seeing as everyone in the galaxy had one, whether known or not. Omega wished for parents of her own once knowing exactly what their roles were. As time passed she began to see Hunter as more than her brother. She loved all of her brothers the same, but Hunter's role was different and she could only conclude the reason being was because she connected him to the role of a father figure.

Omega sniffled as the sun's rays hit her face. How she desired to take back her words. All she wanted was for Hunter to be with her now.

"Omega!"

"Hunter!" Omega shot up just as the door to the cockpit burst open.

"Sorry to disappoint," Tech said quickly, exchanging glances with Echo and Wrecker who were each out of breath beside him. "Omega, I need you to stay calm when I tell you that Hunter has been...captured."

"What?" Omega felt her heart stop. This couldn't be happening, not now. "H-How? Why weren't you guys with him? How did anyone sneak aboard the ship without any of us knowing!?"

"Hunter had decided to take a walk alone last night after we all turned in. He was not there when I woke." Tech pushed his goggles up as he pulled out his datapad. "This isn't the first time he's done something like this. He does tend to like to be alone after agruem—"

"Tech..." Echo warned, gesturing to the young clone with his eyes. Omega didn't need to know that fact at the moment.

"...He likes to walk outside after dark," Tech corrected with caution. "When I went looking for him this morning I found a mark in the dirt. It's one of our old distress signals." He zoomed up on the sloppy scratches in the ground.

"How are we supposed to find out who took him?" Omega asked with a shaking voice.

"Well, I do have one person in mind, however—"

The room fell silent as a loud beeping echoed through the cockpit. Omega slowly looked down at her blinking comm, going pale almost immediately

It was Hunter.

"Omega, wait—"

"Hunter!" Omega yelled into the comm.

~~~
     Hunter woke up to the sudden shouting of his name. His head felt as if someone had tossed it around for a solid ten minutes. His eyes adjusted to the dimly lit room full of construction equipment and a dark shadow. Only then did he register that there was a large creature standing right in front of him, beady golden eyes staring directly into his.
"Good morning sleepyhead. Hope you had a good nap."
Hunter jerked his head to the side, attempting to put distance between him and his captor. He found that his arms were chained above him, preventing him from moving far as his feet barely touched the ground.
"What do you want," he growled with daggers in his eyes.
"Why don't we ask your little squad, hmm?" The large Trandoshan held the clone's comm close to his lips. "Go on, greet them. You don't wanna keep the kid waiting," he said, a smirk plastered on his face.
Hunter hesitantly answered. "Omega?"
"Hunter! Hunter what happened? Where are you? Are you okay? I swear we're going to come for you. Tech said he can—" From the other side Hunter could hear the others shushing her. He had no doubt that Tech was trying to trace the call.
"I'm okay, Omega. I promise," Hunter assured. Before he could respond with anything else the Trandoshan ripped the comm away from him.
"Hear that little girl? He's alive...for now. If you want him back in one piece I suggest you pay up. Whatever my bounty was, double it. That's how much I want for this pathetic clone."
"That can be arranged," Echo's voice said calmly. "Where should we meet?"
Hunter saw as a smile creeped onto the reptiles' lips. "I know you're attempting to pin my location. I wouldn't do that if I were you. I would hate to have to damage the bounty!"
Hunter saw it coming, but it still hurt as the large fist of the muscular creature rammed right into his torso. He sputtered, trying to catch his breath.
"Stop! Don't hurt him!" A voice tore from over the communicator. Hunter closed his eyes, wishing that he didn't have to hear the horror in her words.
"I'll be waiting by the burned down warehouse at exactly 1200. Don't be late."
Hunter looked around. Why would he tell them where they were? It didn't make any sense. Either way Tech would know their position. His captor telling them the exact location wouldn't benefit him unless...he had something planned.
"Don't worry, you won't die alone." The Trandoshan smashed the comm into tiny bits as he circled around the clone, staring him down with an amused grin. "The Empire will pay a lot more for your elimination than all your bounties alone. Thank you for helping, Sergeant Hunter."
Hunter struggled against his restraints as the old target left the room. His stupid decisions would be the cause for his own squad's deaths and he couldn't do anything but wait because—He was the bait.
Hey ya'll sorry for the short chapter. P3 will be out either tomorrow or earlier next week!
I went hoco dress shopping today and boy was that stressful, tho I did fall in love w my dress. I don't really wanna go to homecoming, but all my friends are going I kinda gotta too. We usually have a before and after party which I found a lot of fun but it's the actual dance that I hate because it's just a bunch of people jumping up and down in clumps to music that I don't particular like/listen to. Last year I stood in the back alone for awhile until a guy in my grade came back and we just chatted abt SW for a bit. I'm just not a large group loud music type of person, but literally all my friends are and that's basically hoco so idk if I'm just weird for that haha. Right now, I'm listening to Taylor Swift to drown out the fact that my crush who I never talk to cuz I'm awkward even though were sorta friends has a gf  🫠🥲 which adds onto my mood. I also don't wanna go to work tomorrow. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
