Rafe

Storyline: Everything Y/n has heard about Rafe hasn't been that good. But also being JJ Maybanks younger sister didn't help. From a far Y/n could tell that something was wrong with Rafe. All she wants to do is help him but with her being a pouge and him being a Kook she thought that he wouldn't want anything to do with her.

Warnings: Drug/Alcohol mention, Soft Rafe

Y/n's Pov

The Pouges are wanting to throw a party tonight. When I mean the Pouges I mean me because I'd we throw a party there is a chance that Rafe will show up and crash it cause the Pouges don't like inviting the Kooks.. I hate to admit that I do have a small crush on Rafe. It also doesn't help that Rafe has been acting extra weird lately.

He's been acting more harsh to the other Pouges besides me. Which really confuses me because I'm JJ Maybanks younger sister. Not like he's older by 10 minutes.

JJ tends to go overprotective brother when it comes to Rafe. I don't know if he's being extra harsh to JJ because he thinks it will get to me or what. But I also know that from the rumors I've been hearing about Rafe is that he's been doing drugs and has been drinking alot. 

So all day I have been planning the party and I've managed to convince Topper and Sarah to bring some alcohol in return that they can invite all their friends to the Party.

Flashback to Earlier that day

I was on my way getting some food and cups for the party when I ran into Sarah and Topper. " Maybank." Topper says pretty harshly. I rolled my eyes at him as I looked at Sarah. " Can I ask you to do a small favor for me. I promise that you'll get something in return." I say to Sarah hoping she says yes.

She smiled as she nodded at me. " So I wanna throw a party but my brother says that if I want to than I have to do everything else cause he knows I don't have a problem with any of you, but with all the planning I don't have time to get alcohol." I explain to them.

Topper gave me a suspicious look. " What's in it for us?" He asked me. " Well I've already invited all my friends that were Kooks but if you guys do me this one thing you  guys can come and invite anyone you guys want. I have everything else handled." I tell Topper.

He nodded in agreement. " How are you not like your brother?" Topper joked. " Someone's got to keep the Pouges in like." I laughed. " Also invite your brother for me? " I asked her hoping she does. " Why do you want him to come? " Sarah asked me.

I didn't say anything as I looked down. " No way you like him, after all he's done to you guys." She explains. " I don't know why I like him I just do. I just want a reason to talk to him since I'm the one serving all night. To me he's just interesting." I tell her.

She smiled as she nodding in agreement. " Thank you, you guys won't regret it and I'll make sure I try and keep the Pouges in line all night. " I say to them as I walk away from them.

Before I could get far Sarah stopped me as she made sure Topper wasn't listening. " Can you make sure that John B Shows up?" She asked me.

" Why do you want him to be there?" I ask her. " Because I know about you guys looking for the Merchant and I promised that I'd help him get a map from my place." She explains.

I nodded as I smiled at her. " I'll text him later and let him know." I tell her. She smiled as she went back to Topper. I couldn't help but smile cause  there's a chance  that I could talk to Rafe.  Plus I would have to if I'm serving Alcohol all night.

End of Flashback

The party was almost set up and people have already started to show up. " Are you sure you don't mind serving all night. I'm sure JJ didn't mean it." Kie asked me. " Belive me I really don't mind. I'm actually hoping someone comes so I have the opportunity to talk to someone." I explain to her.

She smiled as she went over to the Pouges. I'm just hoping that when Sarah and Topper get here they don't get so mad. As If they were right on time Sarah, Topper and Rafe all walked in with the Alcohol. " Hey lady Maybank where do you want these?!" Topper asked.

I pointed at the table as I kept setting up the table filled with Pizza, chips and other snacks. I could sense that the Pouges weren't so happy, especially my brother.

I felt Rafe come up to me and start helping me set up the table. " So why throw a Party?" Rafe asked as he smirked at my brother. Which JJ was already glaring at him. " Um I just feel like lately people have been stressed and some people just need a night to get loose." I explain to him.

Before I could say thank you I saw my brother come up to Rafe and I. " Why are they here?" JJ says sternly. " Because I told Sarah and Topper if they helped with drinks they could come and invite some of their friends." I tell him as I gave him a weird look.

He scuffed as he pulled me away from Rafe. " Your not being at this Party." He tells me as he pulled me towards the Pouges. " No this is my party. You said that if I wanted a party that I had to do it all alone. Which I did and I can invite whoever I want. You may have a problem with the Kooks but I have nothing against them." I mention as I pull my arm away from him.

I felt the Kooks and the Pouges eyes on JJ and I. " Just because you have something against them doesn't mean I do. I talk to Sarah and I talk to Topper. Not only that working at the Countey club no one has treated me bad just because I'm a Pouge." I add onto it.

JJ looked disappointed in me as he started to walk away. " Look I hope you know that I made sure my friends don't make fun of her or be rude towards her." Rafe spoke up.

I couldn't help but shoot my head towards Rafe. " What did you just say?" JJ asked as he walked to Rafe. " When she started working at the Countey club. I made sure my friends left her alone." He explained to my brother.

JJ laughed at Rafe. " Why would you do that?" He asked again. " Because she's done nothing but treat me like I'm normal." Rafe told him. " Yeah right. Or you just wanna get her in bed since you have slept with almost every other girl." My brother said sternly.

Tears filled my eyes as I ran to the boating docks. I just couldn't belive that my brother thinks that the only reason guys are nice cause they wanna get me in bed. Which doesn't fell good.

After a moment I heard someone catch up to me. I didn't bother to look and see who it was. " Are you okay?" A familiar voice asked me. I looked over  to see Rafe. " As good as I'll ever be." I say to him.

" Maybe you just need a break from the Pouges." He says. " They wouldn't last one day without me. Especially the boys." I chuckle a little bit.

Rafe smiled a little at me. " This is why I like you. You're not like the others." He says in a low voice. " You like me?" I ask hopefully. He nodded a he sat down on the dock.

I just smiled as I sat down next to him looking out at the view. " You know I had Sarah invite you. I wanted a reason to be able to talk to you." I admite to him " Why's that?" He asked me. " You have that look that you're going through something and I just wanted a reason to make sure you were okay." I say to him as I look at him.

He smiled as he put his arm around me as we just enjoyed each others company. But from afar JJ was looking at Rafe and his sister. He didn't know whether he should do something or not.
