I can't help but watch Konnar play with all the kids at the function hall. Bring your kids day ngayon sa opisina, at dahil karamihan sa mga batang isinama ng mga empleyado ay nasa toddler age pa, aliw na aliw si Konnar na buhat-buhatin ang mga ito.

"Ah, you weigh like a hundred pounds!" Pinupog niya ng halik ang leeg ng batang lalakeng buhat niya. The child giggled, and when Konnar stopped, I saw how his eyes glistened with so much happiness.

Eiji stood next to me with his cup of tea. "Looks like someone is excited to be a dad?" He smirked at me. "Just don't fuck in the kitchen. Dad might miraculously walk and find you there."

Uminit ang aking pisngi. "Eiji!"

He laughed softly and pinched me on my elbow. "I wasn't born yesterday that's why I don't like staying at home while he's living with us. I don't like to see nasty things."

Tumaas ang aking kilay. "Oh, yeah? If I know, you often take women out."

"To have casual dates. Not to fuck, alright?" He sipped on his tea. "Not all men are after sex during the early stage of relationships."

"Sir, you have a phone call," ani Nikida.

Tinapik ako ni Eiji sa balikat saka siya bumalik sa opisina niya. Siguradong ang Daddy ni Konnar na naman iyon. Palagi ko silang nahuhuling magkausap, and they were making fun of us! Chinichismis ako ni Eiji tuwing inaaway ko si Rig, at kapag selos na selos si Konnar ay pinag-uusapan din nila.

I sighed and looked at Konnar who's now crawling while two kids are sitting on his back.

May pinagmanahan ang pagiging loko-loko ng isang 'to. Kung anong kinaseryoso ni Mr. Khalil Ducani ay siyang kinaloko rin pala!

My phone buzzed. Nang makita ko ang chat ni Rig ay lumabas ako ng function hall para hintayin siya sa tapat ng elevator.

The moment he walked out, his lips curved for a meaningful smirk as if he saw someone from the far end of the hall. Lumapit siya sa akin at humawak sa aking batok. Gano'n na lamang ang gulat ko nang patakan niya ako ng halik sa pisngi saka siya bumulong malapit sa aking bibig kaya kung sino mang nasa malayong banda ng hallway ay siguradong iniisip na naghahalikan kami.

"Look? Your Ducani seems like he's about to burst." He laughed softly and stood up straight and entwined our fingers. "Let's go see Eiji. I got business to talk about with him."

Lumunok ako at sinubukang itago ang pagkailang nang mapansin ko si Konnar sa dulo ng hallway. His face was so dark and I was scared that he'll break his teeth with the way he's clenching his jaw right now. 

Akala ko ay lalapitan niya kami nang magsimula kaming lumakad ni Rig, ngunit nang lampasan niya lamang kami saka siya dumiretso sa elevator, parang piniga ang dibdib ko.

Mas sumakit pa ang puso ko nang makitang sumandal siya sa elevator door habang nakatitig sa sahig. A part of me wanted to run to him and ease away his jealousy, but the elevator finally shut and all I could do was sigh.

Rig and Eiji discussed some of their plans for their upcoming project. The Samaniegos are one of the biggest construction suppliers in Southeast Asia, but they also have a wide variety of land properties they often sell to clients who wanted to build hotels and buildings.

Although I am enjoying their discussion, I can't keep myself engaged to the conversation kahit isinasali naman nila ako para magbigay ng opinyon.

"Wanna join me for lunch?" Rig asked when their talk was over.
