Y/n's POV
It was a long 11 and a half hour flight back to the US from Italy. The entire plane ride back I've been quietly thinking about how I was going to approach the rest of the Cullens. It didn't help that I wasn't on my meds and unable to think clearly.
I mean should I forgive and forget like Bella? I can't deny my love for the family, especially Carlisle. But they left. Damn I had missed them so much and after everything that happened with the Volturi, I was genuinely scared something bad was gonna happen to Edward. According to Bella she hardly made it in time to stop him. What's more, I was already warming back up to Alice; her bouncy personality was alway contagious.
Maybe this one time I could be like my sister and forgive and forget. After all, I think I've suffered long enough without them and I just want to be wrapped into the cold embrace of Carlisle once again. I've missed his hug, tender and passionate kisses and late night conversations over some apple juice. I've missed my friends in school, especially Jasper, classes without him constantly messing with my mood has been boring.
I just don't know what to do or feel about this whole mess. 6 months being left in the dark isn't a meagre matter to dismiss. God I hate being indecisive.
Arriving at the airport having been unable to sleep due to my indecisiveness and the fact that I was still in the same clothes I wore around Italy in the boiling sun made me incredibly groggy and jet lagged. I walked through security and all the other airport security without even realising I was doing it. My body was on autopilot... pun intended.
Dad had tried to reach me a couple more times asking when we'd be back which wouldn't be till later tomorrow afternoon. Why? Well we had indeed landed in America just not in the Port Angeles airport Bella and I landed in a year ago. No, instead we were in New York, the current location the Cullen coven resides.
Alice at some point had explained the whole situation that they would work at night instead of attending school or something, I don't really know the whole story as I didn't listen. Either way it made sense given how sunny New York can be. Take right now, this heat pissed me off as I walked out the airport to be embraced by more sunlight. This poor leather jacket is gonna be ruined from all my sweat.
That and both Alice and Edward were rushing us while stealthily tryna get to the car which was waiting outside for us. Edwards' hand rested on Bella's back while he wore a black hoodie with the hood pulled up over a cap and sunglasses which covered his eyes.
'Way to look not suspicious.' I note with an arched brow. 'Totally don't look like you're smuggling Bella into the country.' I addressed in my head not caring to look his way when he glanced back at me.
Alice wore a headscarf and sunglasses like back in Italy to cover herself up. 'Outdated but she pulls it off. God why am I judging fashion? Am I that tired that I've gotten bored?'
When we got outside Edwards Volvo XC60 was parked just of to the left with Emmett in the driver's seat. Despite the blacked out windows meant to conceal their appearance, the man had the windows pulled down since the overhand of the airport created shade from the sun. At our appearance he smiled that smile of his I had missed dearly.
