O Winter My Dear

A dampened mist falls upon the earth,

Through death and despair, comes life And new birth.

With each passing day I long for the night,

To again have the moon back in my sight.

For how can you say it is the sun that you Love,

When it is the moon and the stars that Reveal the heavens above.

Does a rose in summer's bloom outshine A blanket of winter's snow?

Keep your loving flower, and to winter I Shall go

For there is the comfort that so many of Us seek,

Hidden in a box, but dare I take a peek.

I welcome in the frost to warm up my Heart,

But the fire has gone, now I'm trapped in The dark.
