The Darkness

Break apart the world you knew, never

Shall it return,

Like all the love I had for you, a fire that

Eternally burns.

And all along the darkness reigns, a

Plague upon our land,

Stretching forth its hand of pain, and

Holding our demise in hand.

Look across the darkened waters, see

My burning heart,

A sign of life within the slaughter, a

Beacon to show the path.

To beat the darkness go to sleep, and

Picture the rising sun,

Never again let me hear you weep, for

Then the darkness has won.
