The Lonely Road

Do not hide your beauty, that is so often

Seen as blind,

Your face is the only that I see, swimming

Through my mind.

As I watch the moon, I am reminded of

Your pearly skin,

And all the stars that form your eyes, I pluck

To hold within,

The beauty of your heart, is matched with

The beauty of your face,

And with you the dark in not so cold,

Becoming a tolerable place.

Yet alone you make me lie, with no fire to

Warm my harth,

So alone I gladly walk, the cold love

Stricken path.

The hourglass runs dry, our time is at

Its end,

But with the final grains of sand, there is

A message that I must send.

Forever shall my fire reign, a beacon to

Those in the dark,

So forever the world will recall our tale,

And forever see its mark
