Tonight we say a prayer, for those who now
Depart,
If I had a single wish, this day would now
Restart.
I do not shed a tear, for I know they are
At peace,
Knowing they've gone to a better place, is
A comfort to say the least.
So brave were these men, that there
Blood now sows the soil,
Life will return to this barren place, a result
Of all their toil.
So will you join me now, and offer a single
Thought,
With all our minds together as one,
Balance may be restored.
I dread the morning light, for I know it
Could be death,
And I hope that you will give a prayer,
as my body is laid to rest.
And do not call this sorrow, for death is
But a door,
All the splendor that lies beyond, is like
Nothing you've seen before.
