A King's Order

My noble kin of war, hear my royal cry,

I bring you here to fight, I bring you hear to die.

Upon this foreign land, every fate is sealed,

Which of us shall live, has not yet been revealed.

So sharpen every sword, and string up every bow,

I point towards the sun of death, there you must now go.

I hear no words of freedom, you fight at my command,

Fight until the bitter end, this is my demand.

No one thought to argue, they only thought to die,

Bravely marching into battle and not once asking why.

The ground began to shake as the enemy came in sight,

Pray the devil has mercy, for now's the time to fight.

Every sword was pulled, and pointed in the air,

They cut down each and every man, and all without a care.

Their king shall reign supreme, their bones shall turn to dust,

But still they drink the guilty blood, because they know they must.

A day of clanging swords, many brothers fell,

May they be at peace, before they go to hell.

A soldiers life is grey, filled with blood and gore,

But still we laugh and sing, until death reveals its door.
